Ages ago at plant based live I tried out the @abakusfoods jujube fruit and LOVED them so when they asked to send me some samples to try out (which they sent so many of so thank you!!) I was all up for it! I never realised the nutritional benefits the fruit has so here’s some info for you all🌞: 🌱The jujube fruit, also called red date, has been enjoyed for health and well-being for the Far East for thousands of years 🌱They contain 18 out of 24 essential amino acids which help tissue repair and recovery - perfect after a workout! Also, they are known as an adaptogen, which helps the body adapt to stress, both mentally and physically. The fresh jujube fruit has 20 x more vitamin C than citrus fruits. 🌱They are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, paleo, no added sugar, sulphite free.
I’ve been loving using the jujube fruit and also the crispy ones on my oatmeal bowls, I haven’t used them on smoothie bowls cos it’s too cold at the moment but the crispy ones would be amazing on nice cream 😍 they’re also such a great snack to take on the go and the handy little snack packs of dates stuffed with nuts are a great and healthy snack 👌🏻 Pictured above we have my go to brekkie this week: @purechimp matcha oatmeal topped with the @abakusfoods d jujube fruit (the whole date and the crispy ones), grapes, banana, chia seeds and peanut butter😍
I would 100% recommend these products they’re so sweet and tasty 😍🤤if you’re interested you can get them from Ocado, Grape Tree, Planet Organic, Whole Foods and independents. #eatjujube
