Today I got the news from the doc about a foot/ankle injury I woke up with 2 1/2 weeks ago. It's badly sprained, but thankfully not fractured. It felt great to throw on the new @flyracingusa werx carbon helmet tonight for practice. The airflow on this thing is crazy, I couldn't believe it my first lap. Slowly getting back into training now that the pain has subsided and excited to get the wheels turning in Utah.
I had a blast tonight at the local track, making BMX fun again! I threw together a last minute "just for fun" open during practice and was surprised that 10 other people were willing to simply RACE. No entry fee, no pay out, no points, glory, or even organization. Just pure fun. That's what this sport is all about and I look forward to doing more of this in the future! Thanks to everyone who loaded up in the gate with me, I truly appreciate it.
