#bezahltekooperation mit #ottolock
After I got the question from somebody if I would be interested in a cooperation with Ottolock I looked at pictures from them and thought: "How the hell should these be safe?" I tested them for three weeks now and I must say, I do really like these superlight and handy locks 😊 (and you can't destroy them as easy as you would guess 😉) Its purpose is clearly to lock your love if you just go for a quick jump into the supermarket, having a nice coffee or a quick jump into the lake and you just don´t want to worry about somebody taking your bike instantly and cycling away with it.
It´s probably not as safe as all these super heavy bulky proper locks, and you can destroy it somehow, BUT even the proper locks are destructible - I learned the hard way 😡 I lost three bikes already in the last 8 years and they were all locked with the safest locks from wellknown brands. So my thought is: it maybe doesnt matter that much if it takes 7 minutes to destroy a lock or 12 - if somebody wants it, they will probably find a way to get it.
There is a link in my profile for the next 24 hours, so if you want to check it out, you can have a look. There are different sizes and colors available. On the picture you can see the biggest size locking my bike around the tree and on the second pic, you can also see the middle size how it is attached to my seat post.
I still have my old, proper, really heavy lock, but I don´t use it very often right now. Before I go biking I´m giving it a quick thought where I will need to lock my bike and for how long. If its for going at work, to the supermarket or even a day trip with my gravelbike or my mountainbike the Ottolock is super easy to attach to the bike and also it is super light. So nearly everytime I´m using the Ottolock now. The heavy lock I only take when I will lock my bike for longer periods of time.
Also I thought about if its a good option for taking on a biketrip. Here I guess, you really have to think about situations where you will lock your bike - I would definetly consider taking only the Ottolock with me.
I'm curious about your experiences or thoughts 😊
