The first thing to remember is protein powder is a supplement - a thing added to something else in order to complete or enhance it, that 'thing' referring to your diet.

Whey protein is rapidly absorbed by the body, it's low fat, low carb & has a very high biological value, therefore making it a great choice for reaching your daily protein intake which is essential if your looking to sculpt a shaped toned & lean body. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
The first thing to ask yourself is how much protein am I already consuming? The reason I have a protein shake is to reach my protein intake for the day, but if you are already consuming enough protein from whole foods then you might not necessarily need an extra top up. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
That being said, a protein shake POST-workout is beneficial due to its rapid absorption rate & will promote lean muscle growth, repair & recovery. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
No matter how hard you train, you're going to find it harder to promote lean muscle growth & increase your strength if you aren't eating (or drinking) enough protein. Your entire body is made up of proteins, your hair, skin, nails, cells & of-course your muscles & therefore protein is an essential macronutrient for promoting a happy & healthy body.

I have a protein shake everyday. I think it's a quick and convenient way to get a protein hit whether it's in a breakfast shake with a variety of balanced carbs and healthy fats or a @_genp ready to drink shake POST-workout.
