Phillip Law  🌎Lived in 12 places in the last 3 years 📱Digital Marketing 🛩Wanderer 🚙Audi S6 👻phillip_law "Every moment matters." ————————————

Earlier this week I had the privilege to spend some time with Dave Vanhoose.
.
For those who don’t know him well, Dave has been called the best public speaking coach on the planet!!! Working with names such as Les Brown, Russell Brunson, Cody Sperber, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Robert Kiyosaki, & sooo much more.
.
After I dropped him off, I thought to myself “what’s the biggest takeaway I took from such a legend?”🤔
.
Well I’d love to share that now⬇️
.
As I meet more and more people at the level of success like Dave, it really shifts the perception in a way of who you have to be to become a massive success. You don’t have to have some special, esoteric thing to you. It’s not “you’re either born destined to be a success or not” or anything else crazy like that.
.
YOU can literally have massive success in whatever you want. Because success isn’t in the person, success happens in the HABITS.
.
Successful people aren’t born that way. They become successful by establishing the habit of doing things unsuccessful people don’t like to do!
.
Like the wise Jim Rohn once said, “Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.”
.
Our future depends on what we do in the present✨
.
HERE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THIS LESSON
👇🏼⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️👇🏼
Think of habits like a lamp that lights up a room. If you pull that lamp out and leave it there without replacing it with a new one, you’re just eventually going to plug it back in because you need light! 🔌
.
BUT if you take the lamp out and replace it with a better one, well you’re never going to need to plug that old one back in!
.
So with your bad habits you have now, you can’t just say “oh I’m done doing that” without replacing it with a new one. You have to replace your bad habits with new successful ones that propel you to that next level!!📈

Comment/tag BELOW with someone you’ve recently met that’s made tremendous impact on your life!!!👇🏼👇🏼

#Throwback to a time when everything outside was freezing over instead of melting ❄️
.
Picture I never posted from my Idaho trip I recently found. Now here’s a really good quote that has nothing to do with this picture!

“To get what you want, you have to deserve what you want. The universe is not yet a crazy enough place to reward a whole bunch of undeserving people.” -Charlie Munger 🙇🏻‍♂️💭

I feel like being a street performer would be too competitive ⛵️

When I was 9-10 years old, my dad would take us down to Tijuana/Rosarito area (just south of the border 🇲🇽) to walk around the markets where they sold things.
.
It was at this time that I was taught how to sell, bargain, & negotiate. My dad taught me things like the “keep some cash in 4 different pockets” trick or the “begin to walk away and let them chase you down” trick.
.
Not only did I learn those little tricks there, but more importantly I learned that how rewarding your outcome is in anything, is really just dependent on you.
.
I made goals on getting as much stuff as possible with the least amount of cash. While I knew other people/kids that were buying from the same stores, I had still won the better deal.
.
“Our life is our choices.”
.
Without this valuable lesson, who knows where my life would be.
.
Thank you Dad for teaching me this lesson and for the 100s more you’ve shared with me since. Can’t wait to continue to grow alongside you for decades to come. Happy Father’s Day to the greatest Dad!! 💙

If you look closely there’s actually another guy in the back posing for the picture too... except he’s chosen to go with more of the “high school senior picture” style 👨🏼‍🎓

Not sure if I had the biggest smile because my left arm had suddenly grown 7 inches.. or just because they had sweet potato fries 🍟

Us: “okay try to get the fountains going off in the back too, or at least the whole Eiffel Tower”
.
Random full-time tourist, part-time photographer: “okay! yeah! 🖐🏼😀👍🏼”

Ever hear that old expression: “the grass is greener on the other side” ?
.
Well I think I found the other side... because this grass is REALLY green 🌱

You may not see it today or tomorrow, but you will look back in a few years and be absolutely perplexed and awed by how every little thing added up and brought you somehwehre wonderful - or where you always wanted to be. You will be grateful that things didn’t work out the way you once wanted them to.
.
As Les Brown says, “too many of us are not living our dreams, because we are living our fears.”
.
Life, happiness, fulfillment; they all come from the journey, never the destination. 🌴
.
Someone once told me that we must let go of the life that we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.
.
There’s tremendous power when you can totally understand that life doesn’t happen TO us, but rather life happens FOR us.
.
We are not a drop in the ocean, but rather the whole ocean in a drop. 💧
.
We are all different moving parts of this vast universe. Although history often rhymes, it never actually repeats itself.
.
So with that being said, embrace every moment. The good AND the bad. Because we never really know how or when our story ends. What value we can end up bringing the world with what we can call while in the moment, a mistake.
.
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking back.”
.
Grasp onto every memory and moment that you can. For in the end, the only time we ever have is the now.
.
Greatness lives within each and every one of us, but we are too busy looking at what we aren’t to ever work out what we can be.

I thought about photoshopping in two hot blonde girls in the back, but then that would just be deceptive marketing... 💰

#Throwback to one of the best experiences of my life, with some of the best people I know. Can’t wait to go again in November! 🌴
