โ€œThis sophisticated older gal, Smudge is loving her retirement in our special needs sheep herd. It's nice to relax, enjoy the green green grass and the cool breezes of May!โ€ - National Shelter Director Susie Coston

โ€œOh, hi.โ€ Stevie alpaca is patiently waiting his turn for his annual spring haircut. Weโ€™re sad to see all that beautiful fluff go, but heโ€™ll be so much more comfortable come summertime! #farmsanctuarylife

With a clean bill of health, and a herd to call her own, there are only happy days ahead for Bellamy! Link to full video in bio. #FarmSanctuaryLife #BetterTogether

Happy #brothersday from our family to yours! Join the celebration, and tag your brother (or your brother from another mother)!

โ€œThis young man, Jerome, (left) and his brother Cashew moved out of the special needs herd this week and are living with the main herd โˆ’ the big boys! Jerome and Cashew were getting a bit rough for our older residents like Belinda, (right) who, although she adores them, could do without all the horse play (or cow play)!โ€ โˆ’ Farm Sanctuary National Shelter Director Susie Coston

โ€œHippo looks like a wise old man of the forest, because he is a wise old man (maybe not of the forest necessarily). Hippo is more than 17 years old and loving his life in the special needs goat herd, where he spends his days grazing on pasture with best friend Pinto and his new friend Bam Bam. And although he arrived with a disorder that causes him to have occasional seizures, he does very well and is loving #FarmSanctuaryLife! And that beard! We love that beard!โ€ Farm Sanctuary National Shelter Director Susie Coston

โ€œMia is enjoying a lovely day at the spa- starting with a mud bath and maybe later, a facial. Being a mother of eight requires a few days of luxury.โ€ - Farm Sanctuary National Shelter Director Susie Coston

โ€œIsaac adores meeting new people, so tour season is a great excuse to hang out at the fence and greet visitors. Hello Isaac!โ€ - National Shelter Director Susie Coston

Look at Bam Bam go! When we first met him, he was suffering from leg issues that forced him to walk on his knees. But Bam Bam is a fighter, and thanks to his new Farm Sanctuary family, he's getting healthier and stronger every day.

โ€œDid someone say grass? Gee is super stoked for the season and ready for grazing!โ€ - Farm Sanctuary National Shelter Director Susie Coston

Howard is a fighter! He was born unable to walk, but thankfully, his special needs turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The farmer contacted an animal activist, who reached out to us to provide a permanent home. And with the help of the amazing vets at the Nemo Large Animal Hospital at Cornell University, and daily care from his caregivers at Farm Sanctuary, Howard calf is now back on his feet!

โ€œBabies gotta play! Falco is having a blast surrounded by his new adopted siblings and mother and joining our special needs herd in Watkins Glen to make this new family even bigger!โ€ - National Shelter Director Susie Coston
