There'll never be another number seven on the @catholicuniversity volleyball team. Even before she is inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame on February 3, Bridget Guetle Wise, B.A. 2003, is one of the most decorated athletes in school history and one of only two volleyball players in school history to have her jersey retired.

She earned accolades not just by being an incredible individual athlete but also by elevating the play of everyone around her. She understood that she was only as good as her teammates, and she led them to greatness.

As a junior, she helped the volleyball team become the first women's team in school history to advance to the NCAA tournament. As a senior, she played without two key members of that 2001 team, yet she brought her team back to the NCAA tournament.

And as a fun aside, Bridget is married to Kevin Wise, B.A. 2003, a member of the 2000-01 Men's Basketball team, which is also being inducted into the Hall of Fame. We hope you join them in February!

How did you serve today? Here's a flashback to @catholicuniversity students volunteering to clean up the National Mall for our annual #mlk Day of Service in 2016. #latergram

Brookland was once nicknamed "Little Rome." With more than 20 Catholic institutions and orders following @catholicuniversity to the area, it became commonplace to see clerics and religious men and women of different orders in the neighborhood.

With Andy Brosky, B.M.E. 1985, on the defensive line, ten yards was an impossible distance.

Identified by Hall of Fame Coach Joe Pascale as one of the two best linebackers he coached at @catholicuniversity, Andy was short in stature but could charge quickly and hit hard.

An article in a contemporary newspaper article described Andy well: "One look at Catholic University middle linebacker Andy Brosky is not enough to intimidate most running backs. One hit, however, is sufficient." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you saw Andy bleeding or injured, you wouldn't want to ask about his well being. It was wiser to ask about that poor ball carrier. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(And, yes, we included an extra picture to show Andy's soft side. 🤗) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Join us on February 3 as Andy is inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you'll get when you visit alumni and friends on the west coast.

In addition to a great reception in Rolling Hills, President Garvey visited the @garysinisefoundation and sat on #ForrestGump bench with actor/humanitarian @garysiniseofficial , the father of alumna Ella Sinse, B.A. 2015, and 2017 recipient of @catholicuniversity's Gibbons Medal for meritorious service to the Church and nation.

Thanks to everyone who joined President Garvey and us on the trip!

Forty years later, Clarence Musgrove Jr., B.A. 1977, still holds seven @catholicuniversity records in #trackandfield.

If you saw only Clarence in this photo, you may think this an easy jaunt. But the struggle and speed is apparent in the face of the Villanova sprinter.

Such was the athletic ability of Clarence: he made record breaking runs seem effortless.

On February 3, @cuacardinals will induct Clarence and other legendary athletes into the Hall of Fame. Join us for the ceremony and luncheon.

How about them stairs?? Some of you had bad flashbacks of steps when we posted a photo of Marist on Saturday. Caldwell sends a reminder of its stairs today.

Good morning, alumni! It's a Saturday and you've graduated; so there's no need to head to Marist Hall.

You can "blame" our amazing facilities crew. By the time the rest of us arrived at campus, most of the snow was cleared away.

It's so cold, even the ground can see its breath. Welcome back to campus, faculty and staff!

What a year! Thanks for your support in 2017. We're proud to serve the Cardinals who are serving the greater good. #bestnine2017

Hey Cardinals, before you #PopTheBottle, make a gift to @catholicuniversity, showing your support before the end of 2017. Thank you!
