Meal Prep Recipe-Turkey Veggie Burgers 🍔
Ingredients:
3 lbs ground turkey breast
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp kosher salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 bell pepper (any color), quartered
1 zucchini, quartered
5 cloves garlic
4 brown mushrooms
1 red onion, quartered
1 bunch cilantro, chopped fine
1 can black beans, rinsed or 15oz black beans, soaked
2 heads butter lettuce
4 large tomatoes, sliced
3 yellow onions, sliced

Makes 12 burgers

Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 400F.
2. Using a food processor, combine bell pepper, zucchini, garlic, mushrooms, red onion and pulse until fine. Transfer to fine mesh strainer, cheesecloth or towel and remove excess liquid from veggie mash. Transfer to a large mixing bowl
3. Add spices, black beans, cilantro and turkey to mixing bowl and mix everything until combined. Shape into 12 equal-sized patties and place on baking sheets lined with foil and sprayed with non-stick cooking spray
4. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until meat registers 150F. Let rest for 5 minutes.
5. Griddle onion slices over medium-high heat until well-browned.
6. Make your burgers using butter lettuce as buns and pile with tomato and an onion slice. Enjoy!

383 Calories, Protein 42g, Carbs 26g, Fat 9.5g

Meal Prep Tip:
These burgers are loaded with flavor and reheat well. Grab a patty as a post-workout snack or pile it up on lettuce for a quick and easy meal. Since half of the patty is vegetables, the fiber in these burgers is awesome!

It's especially tough on Fridays.

Sweet Potato Black Bean Burger
Recipe by @strictly_fitness_ for @6packbags
Ingredients:
1 cup quinoa (cooked)
3 tablespoons #FLAVORAMP Chipotle hot sauce
25 oz sweet potatoes
1 cup gluten free rolled oats
2 cups cooked black beans
½ small red onion, diced
½ cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
High quality coconut oil
1 head of butter lettuce (buns)

Makes 6 to 8

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Slice the sweet potatoes down the center lengthwise. Place the sweet potatoes cut side down on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Roast until they are soft to the touch about 30 minutes. Once the sweet potatoes cool, remove the skin. Set aside
Grind the oats: Use a food processor or blender to grind the oats until the flakes are broken up.
Mix the burgers. In a large mixing bowl or the bowl. combine the sweet potatoes, black beans, onion, quinoa, cilantro, oats and chipotle hot sauce. Use a potato masher and mash until all the ingredients are well combined.
Shape the mix into preferred size patties.
Use your hands to gently flatten the burgers and smooth out the edges. Repeat the process for each patty; you should end up with 6 to 8 patties.
Pan fry the burgers. Heat 1 tablespoon coconut oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once it's hot, place burgers in the pan. Cook each patty until browned and heated through, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
Cut the lettuce to make the buns and create your burger with your favorite toppings.
MACROS: ~486 Calories, 7g Fat, 19g Protein, 72g Net Carb

Meal Prep Tip: These burgers freeze well, so make a double batch and freeze half so you always have a Sweet Potato Black Bean Burger Backup!
