Celebrating an early Mother’s Day here at the ice cream museum in SF. We get to make our own statements here simply by using only refrigerator magnets! This was during Loraine, Gretchen & my outing here at the Museum of Ice Cream located in the heart of San Francisco…
*Our trip in summary:
I actually worked earlier prior to meeting up to head to SF this day. After cutting it close on the road, we arrived to the museum around 12:30 p.m., which was our scheduled arrival (on our tickets). The building of this museum was originally a bank. The guides here go above & beyond to make the most of your experience and the exhibits are the definition of cute. This museum is quite educational and gives a lot of history of ice cream. Gotta love the free samples of ice cream and even cotton candy! In the end, we had a sweet time here. The Union Square was also nearby but due to time constraints, we quickly called it a day after finishing the tour thru the museum, which has like 10 rooms! It was worth the $38 (excluding fees/parking). We caught the afternoon rush hour while on the way home lol. Anyways, til next time…

Welcome to San Francisco! The weather was beautiful and sunny out. The Salesforce tower (the tallest building visible) was expected to be completed this year and would have 61 floors with a decorative crown. This was to also be the tallest building in SF, surpassing the Transamerica Pyramid by more than 200 feet! The tower was to become the 2nd tallest building in the Western U.S. This was during Loraine, Gretchen and my outing at the Museum of Ice Cream located in the heart of San Francisco. We were still on the way to the museum at this time…

Me simply enjoying some thunderstorms this day around the valley. Miss seeing these skies! A low pressure system was slowly drifting over the region this day ushering in some atmospheric instability over NorCal. Parts of the valley and especially the Sierras were to see numerous t-storms this day. This video was filmed around Galt, CA while along highway 99 northbound towards Sacramento. This was a very spontaneous (but brief) storm chase outing to the Central Valley. I was bummed that I’ve missed the t-storms that occurred just a few hours earlier which started like 7-8 a.m. in the region from Lodi northward. So, I decided to wait it out a bit around the outskirts of Sacramento, near the international airport, to see if any leftover activity was going to unfold. Unluckily, the storms fizzled out as they continued northwestward. The Sierras continued to have scattered rain/storms but that’s a bit too far for me. I quickly called it quits and headed back home. I stopped by Galt, CA to refuel. Oh well, there’s always a next time hopefully... Til then, safe travels! (5-16-2018)
