Good morning dear friends and family! UPDATE >> It's Monday 11/12, and as of this morning, we are blessed to report that we are safe and all are well and accounted for.
The winds are still scary and the fire is far from contained, so keep the prayers coming, they DO make a huge difference. Watching the first responders, strike teams, tankers, firefighters, law enforcement, and neighbors come together tirelessly and selflessly has been overwhelmingly emotional. Thank YOU all for the tremendous love, support, outreach, prayers, concern, sharing, offers of refuge and deep friendship! Our hearts are full.
So, although the fires are not out yet, it's not too early to think forward. There will be much to do as our beautiful communities on the coast rebuild. As the smoke clears in our cities, and the reality sets in for those who lost everything, and those who lost loved ones in the shooting; and as young students, parents and teachers wrestle once again with the dis-ease of fear and loss as they try to refocus at school and move forward; and when the news shifts to other sensational headlines >> the real work begins. We all need to be vigilant and make change. Our brothers and sisters will need our continued support, #prayers, empathy, #kindness, patience and #love. So many lives have been impacted this week. There will be exhaustion, anger and grief...and we need to listen, not judge. There will be problems, but together we can build solutions.
We are safe today and we are beyond grateful for the powerful perspective this horrific week has provided. XOX ♥️
