I love adventuring with this guy. I actually love doing nothing with this guy too, I guess that's why I said yes ;) I have to say traveling these days or doing anything is different than it used to be . We couldn't wait to "unplug" and that's we did . And it was shocking to watch how many people , pretty much everyone doesn't . Everywhere we went people were in their phones, snap chatting, instagramming, tweeting... not living the moment through their own eyes but on their phones , for every, single, thing they did, drinking, eating, sitting etc. it's sad to me that society has become so consumed with social media. People no longer enjoy the moment in the moment with out a device. Or being concerned what other people are doing with theirs. We were the only couple every where we went, including on the beach , who just enjoyed the moments fully unplugged . It blew our minds . We couldn't wait to get away from phones. That doesn't mean we didn't take a photo here and there for memories. I guess my point is to bring to attention the addiction . It was a magical vacation and I'm glad John wasn't on his phone the whole time (even if it was to snap what we were doing to post it... I would have been annoyed he wasn't fully present to be honest) , and he felt the same . I think being present in our lives is so very important, and that concept is fleeting. Life flys by before you know it. Something we try to do, is be as present and intentional as possible and it feels good. Especially when we are spending time together or with friends, eating dinner, or just hanging out, with out or phones growing out of our finger tips. I hope people stop being phone zombies soon and start realizing there is so much to look around at to see, feel and live in the moment .
