World Mental Health Day was yesterday but I am, as per usual, late for everything (maybe not THAT late this time, since this whole week is a Mental health awarness week).
I don’t have to tell you how important mental health is, because you, hopefully, already know that.
Instead, I’m writing this caption as a little reminder - be kind to others, but even more important, be kind to YOURSELF. It can be hard at times. But. I can honestly say that learning to be my own best friend is the most valuable thing I’ve learned in my 21 years of existence.
(If you struggle with that, imagine you are a child and take care of yourself accordingly.)
Big part of that is REACHING OUT to someone of you need help. It’s okay to be fucked up and lonely and not okay. It’s okay to need professional help. You are not any less for that!! Please remember that.
