stitcherella Did a LOT if tide pooling over the weekend. If we wanted to spend any time with Gabriel, we were on the rocks looking for sea creatures. He was telling us all about their habitats. 186/365 #beths365 #tidepooling 4d

save_the_mermaids Woke up bright and early this morning to take our Summer Discovery UCSB: Oceanology students tide pooling this morning! It was beautiful, we explored Coal Oil Point Reserve! We saw a two spot octopi, mussels, hermit crabs, brittle stars, sea anemones, sea hairs, shore crabs, bat star and more! Our main goal was to understand and hypothesize over the different animals that live in the intertidal zone and understand why each animal exists in one of the four distinct subzones; splash zone, high-tide zone, mid-tide zone, and the low tide-zone. Animals here have to adapt to being covered and uncovered by water! Have you ever been tide pooling? Share with us your favorite find or experience? ️🌍️! @save_the_mermaids #loveteaching #oceaneducation #tidepooling #oceanadventure #ucsb #summerdiscovery #oceanology 1w
