fitbodylife #motivationmonday - Another classic example that the scale and your scale weight is NOT the benchmark you should keep track of and focus on. As you can see here my client Alice from Toronto Canada, clearly proves that you can make AMAZING progress and lose a couple inches around your waistline yet still have your scale weight increase. In 3 short weeks, her waistline is smaller. Although her scale weight has increased, it can mean a variety of things such as increased muscle density due to better nutrition and training, and increased muscle mass.

Alice isn't occupied about her scale weight but focused on her workouts and nutrition. This is what she said.... "i like the fact that I am stronger. I love the workouts." So folks, stay OFF the scale as much as possible. Scale weight is only 1 of several benchmarks you should use for your progress. It should not be THE ONLY ONE or the TOP ONE.

fitbodylife Several weeks ago I wrote about the differences and benefits of grass-fed and grain-fed beef. This caused many of my readers and clients to ask the next plausible question – Which egg is better – Free-range or caged eggs?

There are various reasons why a person would choose free-range over caged eggs and vice versa. Some have to do with ethics, the enviroment while some about nutrition and taste. Let’s talk about the nutrition aspect of the two types of eggs.

Research done by Kenneth E Anderson [1] took a batch of 500 Hy-Line brown layers that were hatched simultaneously and received the same vaccinations, lighting, and feeding regimen. They collected samples at 50, 62, and 74 weeks and sent them to four different labs for nutrient analysis. They analyzed for cholesterol, n–3 fatty acids (omega 3’s), saturated fat, monounsatruated fat, polyunsatruated fat, beta-carotene, vitamin A and vitamin E.
