monte_carlo_landau_ss 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Coupe.
The 1974 Chevy Monte Carlo Coupe was the base model Monte Carlo for the year and was priced at $4,750 and was the best selling large sport coupe for 10 years in a row. The '74 Monte Carlo had 10 optional engines. The first being a 5.7 liter 350ci Small Block Turbo-Fire Chevrolet V8 and packed 145 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. It featured an optional 5.7 liter 350ci 4 bolt Small Block Turbo-Fire Chevrolet V8 engine packing 160 hp and 245 lb-ft of torque. The optional 6.5 liter 400ci Small Block Turbo-Fire Hydra-Matic Chevrolet V8 engine packed 150 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. A 400ci 4 bolt Small Block Turbo-Jet Chevrolet V8 engine was given to the Monte Carlo later that year packing 180 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque. The 1974 Chevy Monte Carlo S was equipped with a 7.4 Liter 454ci Big Block Turbo-Jet Hydra-Matic Chevrolet V8 engine packing 235 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque and was capable of taking on Mustang's, Camaro's, Trans Am's and Challenger's alike. The '74 Monte Carlo was equipped with the base Rear Wheel Drive drivetrain. The 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was capable of 118 mph and a 0-60 in 8.7 seconds. •   vanpatrickx Land yacht is an understatement 20h
  •   musclepowerusa ^^ 20h
  •   musclepowerusa Bro what's your budget for a car. 20h
  •   americanmuscle2014 It is pretty heavy which means it isn't gonna be that fast and will need a ton of adjustments with weight, suspension and most of all engine power. Make sure to pop a 457 Chevy in that bitch ;) 20h
  •   monte_carlo_landau_ss @musclepowerusa Don't really have one but I'm mainly going for something cheap and that I can rebuild and restore. Mainly a classic muscle car. 16h
  •   musclepowerusa I've got you. Mid 60's Mustangs, late 70's Camaro, early 70's Dodge Darts/Demons/Dusters. Late 70's Corvettes too. I recommend Camaros, fast as hell (I smoked a brand new Challenger R/T in mine a few days ago lmfao), and cheap to build. Corvettes are the same way. Mopars will be slightly more expensive but worth it. If you want a pontiac (I recommend them) go for a mid-late 70's Firebird/Esprit. Cheap and extremely quick and good looking. 16h

monte_carlo_landau_ss 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau.
The Monte Carlo Landau was introduced in 1974 and was a bit larger than the base Monte Carlo. It sported the special leather Landau top which is what gave it the name. The Landau was powered by the base 5.7 Liter 350 CID Small Block 4-barrel Chevrolet V8 packing 165 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Landau had an optional 5.7 liter 350ci 4 bolt Turbo-Fire Hydramatic Small Block Chevrolet V8 engine upping the horsepower to 175 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. For an extra $300 the 5.7 liter 400ci Small Block Hydra-Matic Turbo-Fire Chevrolet V8 engine upping the horsepower to 195 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The Landau as most large V8 coupes was equipped with the base Rear Wheel Drive drivetrain and was known for being capable of driving through dirt, mud, snow and could hit snow banks no matter the size because of it's weight, width, length and engine power. The 1974 Chevy Monte Carlo Landau was priced at $7,520 off the lot and was the best selling large luxury V8 coupe in North America and Canada until 1976 when the Ford Mustang Coupe outsold it. The 1974 Monte Carlo Landau had a gross vehicle weight of 4,713 lbs and a curb vehicle weight of 5,310 lbs making it one of the heaviest V8 coupes in it's class. The Monte Carlo Landau was discontinued from the Monte Carlo line up in 1986. #1974 #Chevrolet #MonteCarlo #Landau #LandauTop #LeatherSeats #PowerLocks #350cid #350ci #350chevy #SmallBlock #400ci #HydraMatic #TurboFire #5point7liter #V8 #GeneralMotors #RWD #3speed #Automatic #4713lbs #LandYacht #ClassicCars #ClassicMuscle #AmericanMuscle #DetroitMuscle #SportCoupe #LuxuryCoupe

  •   monte_carlo_landau_ss The Monte Carlo Landau ran a 0-60 in 8.4 seconds and was capable of a top speed of 122 mph. 21h
  •   americanmuscle2014 I bought a Landau as my 3rd car I ever bought. Loved it and I'll tell you it was fast for being such a ship but when it hit ice it would slide everywhere and one day I crashed into a guard rail and flipped over hitting a rock in the median and the car saved my life. I'll never forget that car cause it saved my life and I still have the keys, shifter knob, steering wheel and the driver seat all in my basement lol. 20h
