Valencia Anne
aannekin Ok avert your eyes if you are easily weirded out!
I'm fairly certain this is all wrong lmao! I've been talking to my non-EDS mom over the last week about how her thumbs move so...pretty sure this is not right. I can feel it slip/ pop and rotate on the left here too so... I'm not left handed but I couldn't get the picture of my right. On my right, my worse side, I don't feel it slip or rotate really it just goes to this sideways nail up position. Both sides you can see a dent though that's my other tip off that it's probably wrong.
So these curve grip pencils ... my fingers really don't know what to do.

  •   staying_strong8 I wear orthotics in my sneakers. On days when my legs and back hurt more than typically I have to wear my sneakers and can't wear flip flops or sandals. 4d

jennycole1988 So today I finally got a diagnosis of Benign Joint Hypermobility Syndrome (possibly EDS 3?) Feel really emotional for some reason but glad someone has finally taken me seriously after being told it's all in my head for the last 25 years. On the way home from the hospital we stopped for a Costa next to Home Sense and I picked up these to keep my brain occupied. 1w
  •   jennycole1988 Thank you all so much @indy_annaj @wadeashore @katiesfx @pixiesmum @houseofheartsx I feel so lucky to have friends like you all. Don't know why I feel so emotional! XxX 1w
  •   dinkie84 Will write you this weekend. Chin up your made of strong stuff xx 1w
  •   anniesnomsblog Thinking of you. Definite progress getting a diagnosis. It must be a relief to know they don't think it's in your head; it's so frustrating and exhausting when they do enjoy your crafting xx 1w
  •   kingfishergirl39 What took them so long?! (I am just horrified). 😧 Sending you lots of hugs. Have fun crafting. 1w
  •   libbycraft Aww hun I'm sorry it's what it is but at least putting a name to it can help you get some reassurance and closure to one chapter in a way. Am I making any sense lol! Big gentle hugs x 1w
  •   sparklysquiz *hugs you * huni @jennycole1988 x x x 1w
  •   jennycole1988 Thank you @dinkie84 I'll look forward to your letter. Thanks @anniesnomsblog @kingfishergirl39 it's crazy isn't it - I've been told for so long that I'm just attention seeking and that it's all in my head and now finally someone has been able to see that there's been a physical problem all along. @libbycraft yep you're making a lot of sense thank you :) Thank you @sparklysquiz xx 1w

butterfly_wingsss My mum pushed me around town today for a spot of retail therapy woo! As you can see I got a notebook and some dinosaur stickers (I'm so cool) and a hand support thingy which will hopefully help with finger and knuckle pains due to my hypermobility, yay! Plus some muscle pain gel, an ice pack, some lollies, a travel mug and far too many cans of fizzy drinks #town #smallvictories #notebook #handsupport #hypermobilitysyndrome #hypermobile #drinks #spoonielife #spoonie #cfsme #myalgicencephalomyelitis #wheelchair 1w

  •   jezzz80 I have that... but no signs on MRI or provoced xray... however it can be palpated on me said my chiropractor. But something I've wondered... how much is normal and how much is too flexible? Is there any picture to show how normal flexion/extention looks VS to much? (Not x-ray or MRI images.. but real ines or drawn ones?) 1w
  •   newoldsuzy ^ 1w
  •   naybellas @drbri1111 I really really would love to know your view on something. I got an x-ray done for my chiro (I've since stopped seeing) but she and I had noticed that my neck isn't the right shape.. (No curve) it's completely straight as straight can be and sits abnormally on my first thoracic. Have you heard of this at all? I used to have a lot of movement in my neck (the only movement affected now and turning my head right or left) I've also noticed when I think I'm looking at something with my head level and straight it's actually tilted and on a slight angle. 1w
  •   bostonactress This is the worst problem I have from EDS... And I am on my 4th prolapse. Yet, my neck causes me more pain, instability, and headaches than anything else . 1w

thestrongroom For TSR athlete and dancer, Clara, learning new movements like the kipping pull-up has been pretty easy. So when she started with TSR in Nov 2013, her goal was to improve her overall strength and nail a strict pull-up. Since then, hitting the big compound lifts has been part of her daily program and within 6 months she has not only completed multiple sets of strict pull-ups with a 5kg weight, she has gone on to smash bar muscle ups for reps. Congrats Clara, keep them coming! #muscleups #thestrongroom #crossfitchadstone #crossfit #chadstone #gymnastics #strict #pullups #strength #strongwoman #ladieswholift #notwrongtobestrong #yellowman #roguefitness #monsterlite #rig #kipping #hypermobile #strengthcontrol 2w
