itsxserin So the pain when I've been going lately, and the mucous and the blood and the hard o go feeling; its because of the active crohns near my rectum..
Have to wait 6 more weeks so that I'm weened off the #prednisone and then I'll see my GI doctor again to see if I should stay on the #6mp and #cimzia or if we should change something... I feel like shit.
I'm so sick of this.

the_ian_ It's the 10th anniversary of my GI tract declaring independence from my body. Summer 2004 i went from guy with no problems and like a light switch fell ill and then to emergency surgery to more surgeries and finally a #jpouch. 2 years later I would learn it wasn't the cure they said it would be and a endoscopic wireless camera pill you swallow confirmed #crohns instead of #uc. These 2 shots a month are a miracle of science. It blocks my immune system from destroying my own guts. But it also blocks the same immune bullets that destroy actual bad things in you. I'm thankful for each new day I have. Someday I'll declare independence from my insecurities and fears from #crohns but it's a process and this post is part of that process by publicly sharing my reality. I am happy to see so many other people online share their stories too. #ibd #cimzia #crohnsdisease #nocolonstillrollin #ccfa 1w

  •   charbarsprstar We have matching abdominal scars around our belly buttons! Lol :) 1w
  •   itsxserin @innovative89 very nice. There's no need to fear it though. The concept of a stoma bag is hard to come to grips with but you get used to it. I can't believe that! I'm so sorry to hear :( are they doing anything to help? Is there anything they can do..? @charbarsprstar hahah, very nicee. They're cute (: 1w
  •   innovative89 @itsxserin I'm on a load of psychiatric medication and immunosuppressants - aziathioprine which I think they sometimes use for chrons?! 1w
  •   itsxserin @innovative89 yeah, I've read thats used for crohns. I'm so sorry you're going through that, beautiful. 1w
  •   itsxserin @innovative89 its definitely hard to keep fighting when everything seems like it can't get much worse, but try your hardest. Something good will happen and it'll be so worth it. You're put on your journey for some reason, just have to wait to find out what it is! 1w
  •   innovative89 I just feel like giving up atm, 1st diagnosed with bipolar then they found these antibodies. Being seeing a neurologist for a year. On a shit load of medication I don't wana be on :( 2 boyfriends left me. Career on hold. Off sick at the moment :( are u working currently? 1w
  •   itsxserin @innovative89 keep going, love! I'm on so many medications and half of them are literally doing nothing except giving m the bad side affects. I'm in pain constantly and its worse when I eat, so I'm usualy on a pain pill 24/7, and even then I'm in pain still. I have to start seeing a pain management doctor which I'll start on Monday. But I'm out of pain meds now so I'm hoping I can mke it through work this weekend.

I've gotten a thee day suspension from work for going to the hospital too many times. Which I don't even think is legal.. so next time I have to call off cause of my crohns or go home in pain cause of it, I'm fired.. its hard to function at my job though; I'm a nursing assistant at a rehab nursing facility.

As for school; since I'm on a steroid I can't get live vaccines, which I only need one and I would be okay but the program people are being dicks about it so I can't start this August like planned. This is the second or third time now that I was suppose to sstart but had to postpone because my crohns got in the way. So now I have to wat till fall of 2016, possibility for earlier, to start the nursing program.

I don't mean for it to sound like I'm competing with you either, so please don't take it that way. I hate when people try to play the "one up" game with me to compare what's wrong with us. It pisses me off. I'm simply trying to tell you, that life can seem like complete shit, but there's gotta be something to keep you going. And if its not in front of you right now, you'll find it soon. 1w

  •   itsxserin @jimcarroll74 what are you taking for your crohn's if I may ask? Are you feeling better on it? 1w
  •   itsxserin @jimcarroll74 I'm on 6mp, prednisone and cimzia right now and none of them are working. I'm in constant pain and I can't eat anything without being in more pain. 1w
  •   jimcarroll74 I'm on cimzia, prednisone, Imuran right now for it, it controls the symptoms , but there are some days that are rougher than others...I was in the same boat as you after my diagnosis in 92, couldn't eat without pain, turns out in had narrowing and blockages in my small intestines from the crohns, had surgery and aside from flare ups and now the crohns is attacking my throat...you just can't stop fighting , never give up... 1w

itsxserin My morning excitement...
It does make me happy that I'm capable of swallowing the ginormous #potassium pills. I use to literally choke on them.
So much so, that when I told one of the nurses at an ER it makes me gag and choke so got bitchy with me and told me to take it. So I ended up choking on it and puking it up on her.
That's what you ge for being a bitch apparently.

makaylamuir Seriously. I would look like i died 11 times and barely came back to life. That's why most of my illnesses are called #invisibleillness's on the days I'm recovering and i go out most people i run into that know I'm sick but see me say i don't look sick and i look great.. It's hard. Normal itsxserin
itsxserin So exhausted and in pain again today.
I have to be at work at 2.30 and have yet to get out of my pajamas.. Scheduled an appointment Thursday morning with a pain doctor. Hopefully he can help me right away.
Had seen my primary on the tenth and had blood work done.
My doctors nurse called me this morning and said my Red Blood count, hemoglobin and potassium were getting low. So they're faxing that over to my GI and now I have to take potassium pills. Stupid horse pills.

I'm ready to stop feeling like shit. Please.

  •   jimcarroll74 I have crohns too with low potassium, I have to drink a potassium liquid my doctor prescribed, it's easier to take than the horse pills they usually prescribe... 3w
  •   itsxserin @jimcarroll74 I've tried the liquid potassium before and in orange juice as well, I think it taste awful. I'm hoping he prescribe the "k-tabs" again. They're potassium pills except smaller and like round. So those are easier to swallow. Guess we'll see what excitement I get! 3w
  •   jimcarroll74 Ok yeah I have lost so much of my intestines to surgery that the potassium pills don't get absorbed, my body has kind of adapted itself to low potassium my levels have been below 2.0 since 1996 when I had small bowel resection 3w
  •   lwitworks1 @itsxserin hey there!! Have you ever heard of it works?? Quite a few people with crohns have taken supplements from them! Let me know if you want more info :) 3w

itsxserin Gawd, this boy is my life<3.
Just had the worst attack I've had in aout two weeks, and he helped make it better.
High as fug off my medications now, so starting to feel a bit better.

We've come to the conclusion I make evil faces in pictures when I'm 'high'. Hahahah. Fucking love it.
Trying to get some electrolytes in me. My legs and hands have been cramping a lot the past two days now. Possibly dehydrated? Its irritating either way.

Butttt, I fucking love my best friend and boyfriend and hopefully soon my fiancé! (;
I love you, jason. To death and back. Forever and ever;to infinity and beyond

These are the two spots where I had my #cimzia injected. Is it normal for the sites to look like this? They don't feel raised or itchy or warm or anything. Its just weird. I was just curious.

  •   high_hopes024 It just hasn't dispersed in your blood stream yet but I'm sure it's fine 3w
  •   cerinab95 I take humira and i sometimes have similar spots but not as big...if it doesn't go away in a couple days id call your doctor 3w
  •   itsxserin @high_hopes024 that's what I was thinking. I'm hoping they'll go away by tomorrow.
@cerinab95 I've taken Humira before and never had it happen, and I've taken Cimzia at least six different times now and haven't seen this. I usually rest my arms on my leg while I'm in the bathroom and thought that's what it was from every time yesterday, but I guess not. The cimzia doesn't seem to be doing much for me anyways. I just don't want to be having some weird reaction to it now 3w
  •   mrsjessen Any antihistamine taken before will most likely stop it from happening. It's an injection site reaction. 3w
  •   icshellie This happens to me every time! I think it's fairly common and they always go away within about a day or two. 2w
  •   itsxserin The spots seem to have disappeared, now I just have litte bruises still. And the cimzia still seems to be doing absolutely nothing. 2w
