time_to__change Progress pictures. There's not much change from the last set but I thought I'd post it anyway. I only managed to do half of legs&cardio week 6, I felt so sick I've decided to take a week off from the bikini body guide. I haven't been feeling well for the past week or so and exercise is making it worse. To be honest I think I've been over-doing it and my body isn't happy anymore... I've got a doctors appointment booked to try and sort me out but this is a reminder how important it is to rest. I was skipping rest days and it's completely backfired on me so please don't overdo it! ebow29 Perhaps the most frustrating part of running for me is trying to not get too ahead of myself now that I'm finally seeing improvement. I'm getting used to seeing 8s and 7s on #speedwork days and in my 5k and 10k races. It's easy feel down when I add more distance and drop pace. But I remind myself that it wasn't that long ago my BEST pace EVER was about a 10:15, then I'd drop from there and never recover. All sub 10s, relatively consistent pace, in the NJ summer humidity is OK with me! Choose your goal and stick with it. #dontgiveup #changetakestime 4d
  •   msohayda I totally understand this from when I was running more actively in the past. I had worked to an 8 min. mile avg., up to ten miles, a few years ago. Now...different story...if I push myself past 2 miles at a 9:30 pace I could trigger a flare. I wish it wasn't illness that did it, but it forced me to realize something important- never be disappointed in doing the best you can because that may fluctuate from time to time for all of us. I'm happy every mile I get in and I think you're doing awesome Erika!!!! I'm always glad to see your enthusiasm about the strides your making (yes, pun intended) and you're right- never underestimate the impact of weather on a run. 3d

jayde_getfit After just my second attempt I have found the perfect smoothie combination!! Celery, spinach, pear, kiwi fruit, banana protein, berries, yoghurt and soy milk. Oh my lordy, get in my belly!! Last night I was feeling a bit flat, looking in the mirror and not seeing what I want to see but I know it takes time and I'm working really hard so need to remember to stay motivated and keep working hard and it will pay off!
