kkandskippy This big goof ball started stealing my heart around this time last year, at first me and skip didn't get along. He was lazy and just didn't wanna do anything, every time I tried to get him to move he would throw a fit. Look at us now he knows tricks, I can ride Tackless, I've started him on barrels and the only problem we have now is the barn sour thing. He has completely stole my heart, I went through a bad break up this time last year, along with some other things and he became my happy place, he was the one thing I could count on making everything better. I didn't even realize it but I had fell in love with this beautiful animal again, he brought back the passion I used to have he's just such a blessing and I'm so thankful for him

  •   wysa_kw I don't have a horse but my best friend does . Me & him started REALLY bonding when I was brushing him & I was going through the death of my grandpa & he gave me a hug (he wrapped his neck around me & wrapped his front hoof around my legs) . He was my favorite before, but since then we have gotten closer & closer . He is a major reason of why I love horses as much as I do . 1d
  •   hopeandhorses Bareback riding! My mare understood me better. 1d
  •   texas_rodeo_cowgirl When she tried destroying my brothers by chasing them & kicking at them & being a little bit of a tired when they rode her so I finally started riding her, working her for my bros and then we just started clicking. 1d
  •   thathorsegirl98 Knight and I are still working on it....but he was neglected before I got him. Right away he would greet me at the gate to the round pen he was in (he kept breaking through pasture fences). Lucy and I have come a LONG way though. We started out riding western. I just walk trotted and cantered her around and she did fantastic at first. Once I started asking for more work (jumping) is when her attitude came out. We had a really rough patch where all she would do is take off and buck and rear. For a while I was honestly a little scared of her. It took quite a bit for me to ride her english because I wasn't (and still am not) that confident english. The first time we cleared the jumps with good form though, everything changed. I was more determined to do better, and so was she. We worked and worked and slowly we got closer and closer. Now we're to the point that I can jump her in just a halter and lead bareback. She (usually) doesn't even pin her ears at me anymore one of the girls at my barn jokes that I'm the only person (besides her owner) that Lucy likes xD we have rough days, but even when Knight was hurt and I was freaking out, I could get on Lucy and just relax. Even just sitting on her stall wall is just one of the best things. Knight is my baby, but Lucy and I are so much closer. 20h
