amisian Beautiful morning out conservation volunteering up near the Roaches. Just the sound of boats and moorhens, and the occasional passerby. #tittesworthreservoir #lake

threeshires Tittesworth reservoir. The levels will be rising again today. Fascinating to see them rising & falling. The water birds seem to cope well with the constant changes. #tittesworth #reservoir #staffordshiremoorlands #staffordshireiswonderful #meerbrook #landscapes #ic_landscapes #landscapelovers #trees #treescollection #ig_captures_trees #tree_captures #treelovers #treetop_thursday 7mon

threeshires The Battle of Gun Hill. Drive over Gun regularly & this trailer appeared a few days ago. Can't really blame the farmers for trying for turbines. The bribes are enormous & times are hard. I hate the buzz of pylons & fear the noise of turbines as well as their ugliness. #gunhill #windturbines #protest #campaign #peakpark #peakdistrict #staffordshiremoorlands #staffordshireiswonderful #swythamley #danebridge #wincle #meerbrook #fingerpost 7mon
  •   babsboardwell I gotta admit i'm not a fan of turbines but what's the alternative? 7mon
  •   threeshires @babsboardwell Well according to yesterday's paper we no longer have a problem with Global warming! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2415191/Global-cooling-Arctic-ice-caps-grows-60-global-warming-predictions.html 7mon

  •   carolinefogell I think turbines are beautiful. So graceful and sleek. Our country side has always changed generation after generation for one reason or another. We must embrace the future and take responsibility for it too. It's not enough to say not in my back yard anymore. We all use power in a happy and care free way and I guess that means we also need to think about where it might come from. 7mon
  •   threeshires I suppose the problem is that the info we are given about them is always loaded by the people giving it. As usual we think we have opinions of our own but they are usually media formed. Some people say they are an essential part of a clean, efficient future and others say they don't produce much power, stop during high winds and just make the rich even richer @carolinefogell @lizzylarkwhistle 7mon
