• mommyinkwell Lol, I was going to ask about the origins of this beautifully showcased feather... Or more importantly, if any plucking was involved with its acquisition. Beautiful colors and detail here!   9mon
• richtatum @mommyinkwell LOL No animals were harmed in the production of this feature nor were they plucked! At least, as far as I know, and I'm not asking for details! :-) Last week my wife and I took our three kids with us to a farmer's market here in Grand Rapids. There was a basket of peacock feathers that my kids spied, and my middle child, Ellie, desperately wanted a feather. Of course, that meant the youngest, Juli, also had to have one!
  
  I had to shoot the photos that night because, otherwise, the feathers would not have survived to be featured. Kids, you know?   9mon
