waywardspark All the spring things are on set today, and I'm FINALLY adding new stuff (really, really good stuff) to my shop, RedOnionWoodworks.etsy.com. The new cutting and serving boards including several of the burly thick ones y'all love so much should be listed for sale by tomorrow afternoon. #RedOnionWoodworks 5d

waywardspark 13.1 miles with 1,600+ other people, and I lived to tell the tale. Heck yeah! #CorvallisHalf 1w

waywardspark I had a great evening chat with friend and flower farmer @raindropfarms . Erin has some pretty exciting (for flower enthusiasts) projects coming along this spring. #farmerflorist 1w

waywardspark The kid is home from kindergarten with a stomach bug, which is a bummer both because he loves school and because I don't like seeing him sick. He's way more upbeat than yesterday, though, and I have to say that it's really nice to have a day at home after a long week to catch up on things and work on fun projects. First up: raisin and dried sweet pepper-thyme bagels. #barbecuebaking 1w

waywardspark Freaking out a little over this homemade Nutella. The recipe is from @meganjgordon 's fabulous cookbook Whole Grain Mornings but is also available over on @turntablekitchen 's blog. 2w

waywardspark I'm signed up to run the Corvallis Half Marathon on Sunday. It will be my first race of any kind in my life (excluding PE in elementary school). My goals: Finish. Don't get hurt. Don't look like an idiot. Don't come in last. I put some more thoughts about being a non-runner who runs (slowly) in a new blog post last night. I'd love to hear your thoughts/advice here or there if you're willing to share. Thanks for the support! 2w
  •   designbybmr You can do it! I have plenty of races under my belt, doesn't master how fast. Your goal to finish is perfect for a first timer. Happy running!!! 2w
  •   carolinerosenbaum Such a good thing you're doing for your health. Good job! 2w
  •   crowfootstudio Pick a problem you've been trying to solve and put your mind to work on examining it from all different angles, when the going gets tough. Best of luck! 2w
  •   shannonharty Don't get caught up on the thrill of the race and start too fast. If you do, 10/13 of the race will probably suck a lot. 2w
  •   waywardspark @shannonharty Words of wisdom right there ;) 2w
  •   tonyresavage Judging by the picture you have a beautiful setting. So be one with the scenery, breath in the country air, and move in a steady way. No stress. Best wishes! 2w
  •   bfresh1016 I am definitely a non-runner but that doesn't stop me! My snails pace helps me take in all of my surroundings :) best of luck with your training 2w
  •   nancyr10 You will be great. :) Skipping the hometown race and doing a shorter one in Portland the same morning, I'll think of you! 2w

waywardspark She's happy because Pa gave her a drone to play with for a while. (They can't sting.) She's a bug lover for sure. Also her shoes are on the wrong feet. 2w
