tokyowhoThe party was over at 3:30 a.m. The last train had gone a long time ago and I decided to stay at my co-worker's apartment until I could catch the first train in the morning. He is from England and has lived in Japan for almost 6 months. He has taught English in several countries without having any roots, just like a potted plant. We talked about Germany during World War Ⅱ, old Japanese novels, and ancient Greek myths while smoking on his balcony. As dawn broke, I could see the hills clearly between two buildings. He likes the hills an awful lot. He said "This is the reason why I live in Japan".1y
