thethirdconrad They say #duct tape can fix anything. I just didn't realize it could fix a 'broke' #marketing #budget #ducttape 1w

thethirdconrad #tbt My throwback Thursday contribution: #caracas #venezuela #ElAvila #mountaintop in January, 1999. Standing beside my Colombian friend Samuel. Photo by my #samforduniversity friend Matthew. We all hiked to the top of El Avila (9000 feet), far above the clouds and back down over the course of two days, camping in this spot. That's the #Caribbean far below us. Great memories. 3w

thethirdconrad Three beautiful pieces of #southern #heartpine that I salvaged from my 109 year old house's attic for a furniture project. Presumably, they haven't seem the light of day in generations. And the trees themselves may have been who knows how many years old when cut for lumber. If only they could tell the tales they've witnessed in life and death. #history #jacksonvillealabama #alabama #pine #ancienttrees #oldlumber 3w
  •   shannonsteele love this!!! can't wait to see what you do with these! 3w
  •   marcshiflett Wow 3w
  •   rebeccazaklit Wow! That's awesome! What are you going to do with it? 3w
  •   lptoadvine I'm just hoping those attic pieces weren't structural. 3w
  •   misselizabethash Make them a full length mirror!! 3w
  •   thethirdconrad @shannonsteele @marcshiflett Thank you! :) @rebeccazaklit I think I'm going to use them and maybe some of the 109 year old glass from one of the old windows to make a console table. @lptoadvine Hmm, maybe that accounts for all the weird creaking sounds coming from above now ;) Haha nah they were leftovers up there from when the old was partially cut out to make way for a 'new' addition probably back in the 40's or 50's. Also in the attic is part of the original roofline made of cedar shake shingles. I couldn't think of any use for those though. 3w
  •   rebeccazaklit You need to upload a picture of it when it's done, I would love to see! @thethirdconrad 3w

thethirdconrad #tbt #throwbackythursday ...way back that is... To the days of #prohibition Let's say that I wasn't the first #entrepreneur in my bloodline #whiskeystill #history #jeffersoncountyalabama Even #familyhistory has crazy twists. The man on the far right is my great-great-grandfather Jackson Snow and the man next to him is my greatgrandfather Elias Perry Snow. Jackson's wife was the daughter of the leading Baptist minister in the area, head of the Baptist Association. Jackson's wife's grandfather was a Methodist minister/ physician. Wonder what the conversations at family Thanksgiving were like back then! This is somewhere near Alliance and the Warrior River in western metro #BirminghamAlabama #alabama #1920s 2mon
