thespacesbetweenWe often think of ourselves as conceptual beings, but more so we are physical beings. We, just as ourselves, are physical manifestations of a natural concept that is beautiful in and of itself. Yet we strive to change it, and rearrange its structure as if not to trust ourselves- as if a flaw exists. Or perhaps it is just within human nature to have a sort of self-destructive quality.3w
thespacesbetweenWhen words run away, they are replaced and fabricated as if their DNA could be easily reconstructed by ingredients inorganic to their nature. Too bad lies aren't that complicated- and how easily people tend to gift them to me, as though a virtue feels cumbersome to the mouth.1mon
thespacesbetweenPerhaps we are doomed to retrace out steps under the illusion that we are exploring, doomed to try and learn what we should simply recognize, learning a mere fraction of what we have forgotten.1mon
waveform How's the SpiderCapo working out, cheers!
thespacesbetween@waveform I love it! I've wanted one of these for a long time. I spend a majority of my time exploring different tunings, and this capo has opened up a plethora of new possibilities.
waveform Many thanks for your opinion, sounds like interesting possibilities.I will look into it, cheers!
waveform Will do, I just ordered it so will let you know by next week. Thanks again, cheers.
waveform Hi, Picked up the Spider Capo, and I like it very much. Opens up many tuning possibilities, especially with additional tunings like CGCFGD then use the capo for quick changes during improvs on various strings. Thanks so much for posting the pic, it's opened up different approaches to playing, cheers!
thespacesbetween Wonderful, I'm glad to hear that you like it! A while ago, I wanted to design something like this until I saw that it had already been patented & produced- it was a bittersweet realization. Nonetheless, it is a wonderful tool and opens up so many possibilities for play. I have been messing around with this tuning for the last week or so: F#ADABE, Low E and G k'd on the 2nd. If you ever come up with a cool tuning you would like to share, feel free! Until then, thanks for sharing, and have fun with your new toy! @waveform2w
waveform Cool that you had this concept in mind. I'm new to alternate tunings, and I'm open to any and I will try yours soon. Of course if I come across any interesting tunings I will be happy to share. Here's a couple of 12 string tunings I think by Ralph Towner, but not sure which one is the correct one: C#C# F#G# C#D# F#G# A#B D#D#
C C Eb G Bb C F D A G D D and couple yet to try:
D A D E B E
C F D G A D I'll check out your tuning also, thanks for the inspiration, cheers!
