  • thegirlwhobites Food autopsy of the day.
    Not everything that comes in a wrap is lower in calories, nor carbs or Healthier.
    Example, a friend of mine always choose to get a subway sandwich in a wrap instead of their bread selections.
    I asked, why? She answered because it's healthier and has less carbs (it looks smaller compared to normal subway six inch breads).
    What she and other ppl dont realize is,
    A Tortilla wrap comes out of a packet, made out of bleached enriched white flour, soybean oil, HYDROGENATED oils and PRESERVATIVES.
    It also comes with a whopping 219Cal, 34.8g of carbs 5.8g of fat and 722 mg of sodium.
    Whereas Subway's wheat bread is baked fresh daily and only has
    190Cal, 31.8g of carbs, 2.8g of fat and 407mg of sodium.
    So not only she's eating less food by choosing the wrap but also she's consuming more calories and carbs in comparison to normal bread.
    And what's worse than a tortilla wrap?
    A green looking spinach wannabe tortilla wrap.

  • thegirlwhobites One of the best workout to build that sexy back.

    1. Stand with your feet slightly wider than shoulder-width
    2. Grip the barbell with palms facing down.
    3. Bend ur knees slightly, keep ur back straight (parallel to the floor), stick ur butt out to maintain the curve on ur lower back.
    4. Keep ur head up, extend ur arms, barbell should be hanging down in front of ur shin. This is ur starting position
    5. lift the barbell upwards (exhale) with an exploding movement , engage your core at all times to keep ur back n torso straight with elbows close to the side of ur body
    6. Squeeze your back, hold it and slowly lower the barbell down (inhale) back to starting position.
    Tips:
    - Stand next to a mirror to check ur posture.
    - Maintain Proper posture at all times, its really easy to use poor form with this exercise
    - Keep your weight on your heels to avoid ur back from rounding & to prevent you from tipping over (you can even raise the tip ur toes)
    - You can do this exercise with dumbells
    - As with any back exercise you Should Start with a lighter weight to warm up and get used to the correct posture.

  • thegirlwhobites Try this advanced core/ab exercise.
    Get in a push-up position and place feet on a stability ball. You can also start with the ball on your belly and walk forward with your hands until the ball is resting under your feet
    once you're stable contract your abs, keep your legs straight and pull your feet towards your chest. As the ball moves towards your torso your hips should elevate towards the ceiling.
    Continue drawing your hips up and contracting your abs.
    Keep going until your upper body is in a handstand position and exhale.
    Lower yourself back into the starting position. This requires balance, a strong core, good upper body strength, and body awareness or proprioception. #TeamGeecue
