shirlzrene Thank you for this article @rhapsodani This is TRUTH! I'm sick and tired of others taking things away from us. They should start their own movement, LEAVE OURS FOR US!!! @hellobeautifulofficial Black women with natural hair, PLEASE, I implore you to read this article! #danielleyoung #blackwomenwithnaturalhair #hellobeautiful @hairunruled @naturalhairdoescare 3w
  •   abigail_opiah Loved this! 3w
  •   loudpen That article was honestly just silly, not the one noted above but the one on Curly Nikki that started all the controversy in the 1st place. Interviewing a white woman about her natural hair journey is laughable. Why? Because she never chemically straightened to her because she felt like that's what she needed to do to be loved and feel beautiful. All she did was go from a bun to wearing her hair curly. How does that make her part of the natural hair movement? If you go back to the original post the questions are written for a black or multicultural woman who has just gone natural. It's cool if the blogger Nikki wants to include all types of hair textures, races, and ethnicities. But you have to be careful about the terminology you use. Again because the white woman in the article never chemical processed her hair, she was always natural. She simply embraced her curly hair texture and that is awesome BUT she did not go natural because she always was! I can't emphasize that enough. Anyway you gotta give the blogger credit b/c she knew full well the type of controversy she was starting and that it would get her more attn. Same with the blogger who did the interview. I guess they say "all press is good press." I say do you but today was the only click they'll be getting from me. Okay I'm done writing the world's longest Instagram comment. Lol @shirlzrene 3w
  •   shirlzrene @loudpen yes to everything you wrote. I'm sick and tired of them wanting to get involved in things that pertain to us. Soon they'll be saying they're the TRUE black Americans, African Americans. If they want to start a movement on their own, so be it, I wouldn't stop them. But leave ours alone. WATCH, if they feel they are not getting in on our movement....they will scream racism. I can see that happening! 3w
  •   loudpen Sorry I know I'm late! But I agree with everything you said. It's a black movement that has nothing to do with white people so there's no need to include them. #sorrynotsorry. Now Nikki has responded to the Ebony article babbling about how her site is for black women but she wants to be inclusive to non black readers as well. She also took the time to babble about her charity work in Africa. *blank stare* *tears* @shirlzrene 2w
