seeangiego I found this Victorian mirror for $5 at an Amish flea market last weekend. It's heavy as shit. I found LaVey for $0 at the bottom of my black well a lifetime ago. Also heavy as shit. I'm in a pissy mood, let it all fuckin' burn. 2w

seeangiego Intense reading by the lake, @whatyrleftwith pulled the Star for her first card in the celtic cross spread. This card is so Alex it makes me cry. And I love her Orion constellation tattoo (top right). Here's to 17 years of friendship, going to shows together since 14, and finally finding a fucking Taco Bell in Chicago at 2am. 2mon
  •   mikemantx @seeangiego i am so tempted to ask you to do mine, but Im not sure I believe in it enough for it to work 2mon
  •   seeangiego @mikemantx thanks for the honesty, I'd like to do a reading for you. My personal opinion is that your energy is super important, but it's all about the cards, man. $20 says you'll come to at least appreciate the math behind them if we do a reading 2mon

seeangiego While antiquing today I found this victorian mourning pin dated at 1880. Obsidian, coin silver, two small natural rubies on either side. I felt instantly emotional about it, the seller gave me the biggest hug. 2mon

seeangiego "In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you." This work in progress piece means the world to me. Kat is one of the most inspiring, beautiful souls I've ever met, you gotta see her work: @muscadomestica . seeangiego A few folks have asked about resources for reading tarot and I wanted to share! Jodorowsky's "Way of the Tarot" is the definitive guide in my opinion. Here's why & also my personal beliefs about reading cards: Jodorowsky (the director of Holy Mountain etc), has studied tarot for about 40 years. In the 80's, he teamed up with a descendant of the Marseille family who actually had original card plates from the 18th century. Together they restored the deck to its truest form. Mad cred, right? In this book, he talks about the cards in terms of statistics, numerology, and artistic symbolism. He doesn't believe tarot should be used for divination purposes, to predict the future, or for money. But rather that anyone can read the tarot because of their scientific & mathematical history. Right on! So in my "long distance internet readings, I think about energy of the person and let the cards pull themselves. I write down my intuitive thoughts on each card and the reading as a whole. Then reference this book, gleaning, paraphrasing, critically thinking, and rewriting what the cards represent individually, and in their spread placements. Jodorowsky believes in the deck as a whole, and the mandala he made of all 78 cards (pg 94) is like, breathtaking. Sometimes I do reference against online & Rider Waite interpretations, but this book (and intuition) are my main sources. That said, I actually don't use his Marseille deck! I do prefer the illustrations of the Rider Waite that I started on. Hope you guys dig this as much as I do. 2mon

seeangiego @loulouleroux, you are entering a new spiritual phase m'dear. You're growing, and you're wise. For your near past we see the Ten of Coins, a time for creativity because your material cycle has been completed. Meaning, you've been afforded the opportunity to grow spiritually because a circumstance had allowed you some extra expenditures. So now, your Present, we see the Five of Cups continuing this spiritual discovery toward a higher element. Or maybe for the first time your heart is opening new solutions that affect like, humanity. You're spiritually rising above. And what's crazy, is all this is bookended by another Coin card. In the reverse, the Five could mean spiritually depleted. So don't burn yourself out or give up or feel alone. Last, you've got two Fives in this reading. This is crazy, the Fives represent opening yourself up to a "higher self-knowledge" not to abandon material assets, but surpass them. Equally interesting because it's the Five of Coins no less. In summary, you're stable to pursue this higher spiritual calling, but take care if yourself first. Don't give everyone everything or you'll feel alone in a room full of people. Thinking of you and I'm sorry it took so long but today was the day. 3mon
  •   _spirits @seeangiego I love this 3mon
  •   seeangiego I don't think abandon was the right word... I think what I'm trying to say is not to forget the near past that set you on the spiritual journey, but to go beyond it now. Curious if this rings true or I'm projecting my own energy on you. 3mon
  •   loulouleroux This is so great, thank you so much for doing this for me. Much love 3mon
  •   theadrianagrace @seeangiego please do a reading for me! 3mon

seeangiego Treat yo' self? Thank you @thecemeterygates for my new 1955 copy of Lolita, light if my life fire of my loins. Thank you @the_wild_unknown for this inspiring tarot deck (today's card, Judgement). And thank you stranger for my new mourning wreath to be framed and paired with my current wreath. 3mon
  •   funeralwreaths Well, it sounds kind creepy, hah 3mon
  •   jonemasonmc 3mon
  •   armofpuma I just reread Lolita for the first time since I was 14 or 15. Such a different reading experience being Charlotte's age (and especially having offspring of my own) than when I was Lolita's age. 3mon
  •   seeangiego A new compassion for Charlotte I never felt before, for sure. I struggle bc I know I shouldn't feel bad for Humbert. But it's just so beautifully written I can't help but love this book so much. I feel like this kind of tortured love is ageless. But it's so misdirected...sigh... As a mommy does it creep you out now? It creeps me out, shit. 3mon
  •   armofpuma It creeps me out so, so bad now. But you know, we're supposed to feel sympathy for Humbert. That's totally Nabokov's big manipulation in this. Through this reading, I kept catching myself going along with it and cringing at myself for doing it, but loving Nabokov for being able to make me do it. It's a tremendous amount of emotional and literary power he's wielding there. 3mon
  •   seeangiego You're so good. Exactly. Hope NY & your boys are being good to you btw @armofpuma 3mon
  •   armofpuma Yes they are! Xoxo! 3mon
