  • lulubellehale Ok, this probably isn't an IG question but I thought cabbage is super hard on thyroid function? Isn't it a goitrogenic? Maybe it's different for you because your thyroid is removed? I only ask because I have a low functioning thyroid myself.   20h
  • saraparryward Mmmm... Diet coke. Just read somewhere that a little caffeine in the morning is good for you. Great for metabolism. I knew I wasn't addicted to DC for all the wrong reasons   18h
  • see_jane ~ it must just be if you have a thyroid @lulubellehale because I haven't been told to stay away from cabbage and my therapy plan/info is very detailed. right now it's just about iodine, which, I can't have "dark" leafy greens - kale, spinach.   18h
  • soelshelby I love cabbage. Sometimes I cook it in tinfoil... Like a tinfoil dinner. With just olive oil and s&p. could you do that? Maybe just the seasonings and not the s&p? Good job!!! I believe you can do a ton with diet so you maybe don't have to do so many drugs?? But who knows :) you will!   16h

  • see_jane ~ shredded cabbage & carrots, drizzled in olive oil & sprinkled with kosher salt & the whole foods version of mrs. dash (salt free) @becky_ann I heat it up in the microwave to make it a lil warm, but I like it cold too.   1h
