reganhuneycutt Project365 / Day 113
The boot is off and I had my first real workout in six weeks this morning!! I have lost so much fitness. Oye!! Taking things really slow with my foot, but so excited to start working toward my goals again!

  •   9_mill You'll be back to the top in no time! Glad you're feeling better, as I have missed your running posts! 23h
  •   reganhuneycutt @9_mill I've missed them, too!! I ran a little last night while walking Atticus and again on my way to workout class this morning and my foot felt fine. I just need to overcome the mental anxiety I have about re-injuring my foot and then I'll be back to more regular running. Slow and steady!! Thanks! 23h
  •   9_mill I know exactly what you're saying. I ran last week after injuring my Achilles and felt myself limping for no reason. So scared to hurt it again. 23h

If our coffee consumption is any indication, I think we are New Yorkers now.

It's gorgeous in NYC today and I needed a break from the boot. It's my first time in Central Park in a month and I couldn't be happier to be out and about with Josh and Atticus. So anxious to run!!!

Awesome checkup with my podiatrist this morning. X-rays revealed lots of healing and I'm cleared to do the elliptical in my running shoes and only sentenced to two more weeks in the boot. Yippie!! I will be easing back into running very, very slowly, but at least I know I'm making progress toward that end.

reganhuneycutt Project365 / Day 95
After a very scary month of hospitalization at St. Marien Klinikum in Amberg, Germany, Landsthul Regional Medical Center outside Frankfurt and now Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C., Josh's brother Jake is making great strides. The doctor's latest theory is Jake is battling auto immune encephalitis, a condition so rare there are only 200 known cases in the world. Jake has made amazing progress here recently and we are so grateful to have been able to spend this weekend with him, his wife Jordan and Josh's parents. We look forward to additional visits while Jake completes upwards of six months of therapy here in DC. Our family is eternally grateful to the U.S. Army who has taken amazing care of Jake and made it possible for Josh's parents to be at his side for the past two weeks. Please remember Jake in your prayers.
