onevfoto Wow I have completely dropped the ball in putting up images on instagram. Things have turned out to be rather busy at Campagnolo. The photo sessions inside the factory have turned out to be a little harder than expected. Particularly when you don't have the luxury of time and you need to think about composition followed by lighting setup and props, your ten minute window of opportunity disappears very quickly. Nonetheless it has been very exciting so far.

Some of the folks at the factory have been around since the days of Tulio. These are the folks who tell some incredible stories.

onevfoto For the next seven weeks I will be in Vicenza working on some rather interesting projects inside of one of the most iconic companies in cycling. Depending how things go I will do my best to post snippets of life inside the factory as well as riding around Bassano del Grappa and hopefully some from down south near Termoli. 3w

onevfoto After the giro had finished I made my way down to Termoli to attend a wedding of two close friends. During my time down here I became part of an incredible Italian family and learnt a few important life lessons. Termoli is a beautiful part of the world and you get to experience the simplicity of life. 1mon

onevfoto A very pivotal moment in Colombian sporting history as two amazing athletes reach the podium in the 97th edition of the Giro d'Italia. Both these athletes have had a tough past but through perseverance and determination they achieved what most dream of achieving.

This marks the end of my third Giro d'Italia and my sixth grand tour. I will be staying back in Italy till August. Lots of projects to work on and lots of places to go riding. #giro

onevfoto It's a little past midnight here and all I can say is I have had an incredible day. The incredible part was more so after the stage. Perhaps one day I will tell you why but for now Nario Quintana you are an exceptional athlete. A very proud day for all the Colombians who came out to see Quintana. Let the legs do the talking. #giro 1mon

onevfoto It's been a tough day because I missed out on an amazing photo opportunity from the team parking area at the finish today. Words cannot describe how bitterly disappointed I am with myself. It would have been my iconic shot of the giro. Life goes on 2mon

onevfoto Great racing today especially with Domenico Pozzovivo and Nairo Quintana, gaining 25 and 29 seconds respectively on the maglia rosa. Now the Giro is going to get more interesting with the remaining mountain stages. #giro 2mon

onevfoto After the chaos of stage 11 I made my way to @teameuropcar's hotel near Mondovi. I spent an hour with @bthurau and his masseur. In teams some staff have multiple roles. Bjorn's masseur, Tomaz, also drives the team bus then after the stage makes sure the laundry is done, washes the bus, then finally attends to massaging the riders.

A day at the Giro is a very long day for everyone regardless of what you do.

onevfoto The 2011 Giro was my first grand tour race which was nothing more than taking a stab at something new. During stage 4 of the race I had made my stop at the exact same spot as today. It's one of those rare opportunities to revisit a location again. It's still the same. This time I had used a much wider angle lens which has captured more of the ocean and unfortunately the peloton was strung out. #giro 2mon

onevfoto The peloton rolling through the centre of Modena. I stood on a concrete pillar whilst leaning against a wobbly street sign that was sure to snap with a sneaky feeling that @tdwsport would have been there to capture it all seeing me fall. It has taken me till my third Giro to get an image like this. Today we head towards Genoa one of my favourite parts of Italy especially the drive along the coast. There is pressure because I am after a specific image and if I don't get it there is going to be a lot of disappointment. 2mon

onevfoto Stage 9 from the race book looked like a tight stage to chase especially if you left it till Bologna to make an entry back on to the race course. The race was faster than the estimated fastest average speed in the race book which complicated things for me as I fell short of a few minutes and ended sitting at the back of race convoy. The police officer who was stationed at one of the side roads saw me approaching and gave me the Italian right hand gesture followed by "Che cazzo".
By some miracle I made it to the finish.

onevfoto I have had a bad start in the morning as I was held up on traffic but I have had yet another one of those hotel misadventures that meant giving up my beloved campagnolo cps for the help I received. I love Italy 2mon

onevfoto Nacer Bouhanni with nothing left in the tank after winning stage 4 of the @giroditalia. Bari had me paranoid as it's just as bad as Napoli in terms of car break-ins. Tomorrow is the first medium mountain stage. I might get around to blogging since I'm not visiting teams after the stage tomorrow. It's no fun in the rain but it's not as cold as Ireland. 2mon

onevfoto For me after missing out the 2013 Giro, I am happy to be part of this race again. Alot of working today but it was an excellent day for me albeit feeling a little feverish. Nothing like a good night's sleep can't fix and plenty of sparkling water tomorrow. #giro 2mon
