newmuseum Detail of Shuruq Harb's work "The Keeper" (2011-2013), a multifaceted project that began with her encounter with Mustafa, a young street vendor in Ramallah who sold prints of photos mined from the internet. The piece includes an installation of the several thousand photos Mustafa gave to Harb upon closing his business, and a video panning street scenes in Ramallah with Mustafa's commentary.
