nataliejost Before picture of the dining room, piled high with cabinetry on all sides. He says there will even be some left over for the new bathroom in the basement. 11h

nataliejost One cabinet is out and there's a new window, but I think we're having pizza for dinner. :) 1d

nataliejost For years we've lived with a tiny outdated kitchen with NO DRAWERS, no pantry, and only 3 cabinets. I've had to get super creative with the space, mostly hanging EVERYTHING on the walls. Recently God provided a nearly new complete kitchen when a wealthy couple was throwing theirs out in a renovation. We're opening up the never-used dining room to have a full eat-in kitchen. I say we, I mean he. That guy, my guy. All by himself. Love him! 2d
  •   momadvice Amazing! I'm so excited for you! 2d
  •   benziedesign So exciting!!! Especially since you've been so cramped -your house is going to feel totally different! 1d
  •   nataliejost @benziedesign I know! Crazy the thing I most excited about is drawers. No more measuring cups and can openers, etc hanging all over the place. 1d
  •   benziedesign @nataliejost -I live in a small house myself and totally understand the joy of discovering new spaces where there used to be none! 1d

nataliejost So thankful today for a husband who works hard all day so our kids don't have to spend every summer day in a camp or daycare somewhere. He even called this morning to see how we were doing, even though he's dripping with sweat and building homes for others. 5d

nataliejost Saw the cutest creature at the zoo today! I told the girls I might actually buy them a build-a-bear if they had a red panda. 5d

nataliejost Passing time at the museum with the kids. We're dreaming of time travel and simpler days. 6d
  •   kristenshanna Lovely! This reminds me of Amelie for some reason. The beautiful, childlike simplicity, I think 5d

nataliejost @feltapp now makes custom cards! I've been using this app (iPad) for a few months, to send greeting cards. The beauty is that you can write your own message, and address it in your own hand as well. I've avoided other apps because it's so impersonal, but this fooled even my mom--who saw the postmark and was momentarily miffed that I might have been as close as Vegas and not come to visit. And now they'll make a custom card for you for a truly reasonable price. This is my #olivemanna card to be sent (with a private discount) to my most loyal customers. P.S. I get no commission here, just sharing something I've found useful. As I do. 7d

nataliejost Finally sat down a figured out a cost-effective sample card. $5.00 for each card. There will be one for #ribbon and for all the #twine as well. Look for those later this week. #olivemanna 1w
  •   julesbabybakery Great idea. I've had my eye on your sea foam twine but I'm not sure it's the right shade of mint so that card will be super helpful! @nataliejost 1w

nataliejost Having the recycling center at the nature preserve was a brilliant idea. You don't just feel good about taking care of the earth--you get to see the earth you're taking care of. 1w

nataliejost Emmie borrowed my short sleeve cardigan and it looked so adorable on her I said, "Hey strike a pose." And here's her pose. 😎 1w

nataliejost Here's another idea for jewelry. I found this old baking pan for $1 and magnets. The few which are not magnetic rest in the ledge. Search "neodymium magnets" on etsy for the strongest magnets. The pan is adhered to the wall safely using Command strip Velcro strips. 1w

nataliejost For the SciFi geeks who also love historical fiction, travel back in time to watch some of the first graduates of MIT solve a scientific mystery. Really good so far, smart, authentic, like watching life through a time machine. 1w
  •   dancingdanaea @nataliejost You're into SciFi? That's fantastic! Who are your favourite authors? Mine are: Neal Asher, Alistair Reynolds, Peter F Hamilton, and Iain Banks and then I have few others too. 1w
  •   dancingdanaea I collect all their books. 1w
  •   nataliejost I don't have any favorite authors but I don't pay much attention, just whatever looks good to read. I'll look those up though, thanks! 1w

nataliejost Using shoe organizers to condense space. They're the perfect height for storing inventory. Now three shelving units are in one, and for about the same price. Six pieces stacked is as tall as me. I'm using shipping boxes for trays to conceal clutter. And the red labels I THINK I got from Office Depot last year. Maybe Staples? 1w

nataliejost SNEAK PEAK: Anyone for some Barkboard tags? They're the cutest! I'll have some available au naturel as well, as shown here. Great for gifts of course but also for storage organization and labeling, and possibly garland. Chalkboard paint will make them reusable too! #olivemanna 2w
