mickpix The late 1970's and through to the 1980's was known as the golden age of pub rock in Australia. Bands such as Radio Birdman, Midnight Oil, Inxs, AC\DC, Hoodoo Gurus, The Scientists, Sunnyboys, Hunters and Collectors etc came through this music cauldron of awesome talent, energy and passion. It was an amazing time to grow up and be so spoilt by the breadth of great bands to go and watch. Today Doc Neeson, the dynamic frontman of The Angels passed away. This portrait of Doc was taken April 2013 at the back of the Enmore Thearte in an alley just before his last performance with his band.
RIP Doc Neeson 1947-2014 A real rock'n'rolla.
1mon
