lsking A pleasant walk. Just the evening and me. And a few moments without apprehension of tomorrows, potential bosses and the too quick passage of time. 8h

lsking Mostly just a sleep in (and no acidic sense of panic making said sleep difficult) sort of day. And a long, late afternoon of making Southern Maryland Stuffed Ham and listening to the guys working on the gas lines outside. 1d

lsking The days grow long and I count hours. I think about symbols and wonder at their complexities, their messages and I think I fall asleep again during the car ride. 1w

lsking Apparently I have a new series: Plants in my Office. This one arrived today from the same person who gave me the other one I posted yesterday. I am hoping this one also has a long life. 2w
  •   susanroy Oh wow! Lucky you...secret admirer 2w
  •   jerseyguy It is so nice to see your work every day again! 2w
  •   beau_boy A not so secret admirer ?..;) 2w
  •   lsking @susanroy Not so secret. It's one of the chairs who just believes in showing her appreciation (all my suite mates got plants as well). 1w
  •   lsking @beau_boy Nope. A colleague who believes in quiet acts of kindness. 1w
  •   lsking @jerseyguy Thanks, Ralph! I missed being here....just wish I had more time. 1w

lsking Seen in my office, a plant that has flowered continuously since August. I fear I have tied my mental self to it. If it can bloom day in and day out, surely I should do the same? 2w

lsking And so there is no shining sun and a craving for chicken soup occurs when I look out the window. Today is a hot chocolate and faded pink flower day. 2w

lsking St. Francis has been resurrected or rather his effigy has become upright again. The thing is he seems less an effigy than an animated being. For the past month he has been reclining in the side yard. In the morning I thought about helping him to be a stand up guy, but by afternoon, he seemingly got to his feet without my help... 2w

lsking A cluster of autumn leaves that held on to stark branches, surviving the wind, the snow, the ice. It seems that it has inspired the cold to have another go. 2w

lsking Today is a strange mingling of winter and spring with cold breezes blowing me back inside. It's spring because I return to IG and find you all here with warm welcome backs. I'm lucky to know you. 2w

lsking Death is no stranger to my office. It has taken my winter companions, and I keep them, as ill fitted to disposing of them as I was to destroying them. Perhaps they serve as a warning to others of their kind. 2w

lsking A little washed out, a little muddled from one event to the next. Wanting to wake up again here and feel alive. Some would say spring will make the difference. 3w
