loveandoliveoil Here's the deal: we need a new dining table. This one is leftover from college and is all scratched up. But I can't decide what would go best in this space, I'd love your input!
- Love the industrial look, reclaimed wood or metal or concrete. Can't decide if wood would be too much with the wood floors. Bonus points if it'll make an awesome photo backdrop.
- I also love the stark white Scandinavian look, and we already have some other white pieces (chair, bookshelf, built ins). Hence my dilemma. - Kitchen has light maple cabinets and black quartz counters. Black metal stairs and window trim too. - Will probably paint over the square and get rid of ratty cat tree, put up some nice big art. - Can't be too large. 36ish by 60ish is about as big as we can go, plus or minus a few inches. Current table is 36" square.
Thoughts??

  •   luuwho You guys have such a cute place! Loooove the staircase!! 3w
  •   asseenbynora You going to sell the old table? 3w
  •   bakeorbreak West Elm has a square table with wooden legs and a metal top. I have a shelf like it and really like it. 3w
  •   rebelcakesbakery No suggestion, just wanted to tell you I am in serious love with your blue hutch! 3w
  •   hudsonhome Oh hi there @eatingmadeeasy! My recommendation is to look for a longer, skinnier table like 30 x 72. You have room for it, and the square one looks a little dinky on the long table. A painted wood or metal-topped table would work best with everything else. If you chose reclaimed or stained wood, you'd need a rug to break up the space--and it doesn't look like you have room for a large enough one, from what I can tell...oh, and upholstered seats or cushions on the chairs to complement your killer purple sofa :) 3w
  •   loveandoliveoil @asseenbynora yep, you interested? 3w
  •   asseenbynora Sure, how much @loveandoliveoil? 2w
