lizziet117 Hell ya, nautilus bun!
This things requires absolutely no kind of fastener: •no pins (which always get lost in the mass of my hair).
•no sticks (which are constantly getting lost SOMEWHERE, and quite honestly I'm scared I'm going to snap them sometimes).
•no ties (extra useful I case the tie holding the braid snaps during the day, the braid isn't actually necessary for the actual bun). Perfect for when driving, especially mom's car, when the braid tends to have trouble finding a place to sit.

Ok, so I MAY be a bit over elated... But it's awesome, YouTube it. You don't have to have four feet of hair for this to work.

  •   meagan_kom Love it!!! I'm definitely trying this it's beautiful especially because it needs no ties or pins!! @lizziet117 1d
  •   lizziet117 @meagan_kom it truly is wonderful, I naturally have my hair plaited 97% of the time just due to the length and thickness affecting its tendency to knot at any given chance, but that still leaves the length that I have to deal with; once you do it a few times it'll take about 10 seconds to pop up, just think of all the impromptu times that you need your hair up! Might even be suitable for work too cause it looks so snazzy... 1d
  •   meagan_kom Exactly!!! My hair is very long and thick as well and tends to knot easily at times and I am always looking for different ways to do my hair that's easy and cute! Because you'd think us having long thick hair you can do anything but from my experience I've only found a few styles that I've gotten used to and stuck with and sometimes it's hard to find new hairstyles that work like this one and are so adorable! I am going to youtube it and try it out tomorrow:). Thank you for posting all of the info! @lizziet117 1d
  •   lizziet117 @meagan_kom lol just did the shower test and between all the scrubbing and twisting and reaching, if my braid started a bit higher on my head I'd be, completely dry. No loosening at all. The funny thing about the tangles is I often times describe my loose hair as a pile of ants that has just been stomped upon: everything going in every different direction. And yea I understand that, everyone thinks this kind of hair can do so many things and then I'll watch a tutorial of YouTube and just know that either a) there is no way hair will twisted and bend and fit through apparatuses needed or b) it will be ginormous on top of my head and be totally useless for an updo! 1d
  •   meagan_kom That's great! I can't wait to try it and YES that's exactly right!! I'm right there with ya girl! Haha #longhairprobs and the pile of aunts couldn't be a better analogy especially when I try and brush it and it's wet...talk about ouch! Lol but I do love havin' long hair despite the struggle sometimes haha. @lizziet117 1d
  •   lizziet117 @meagan_kom I've had short (-ER than armpit length) hair maybe 5-6, maybe 7, times in my life, and every time it just feels too foreign and unnatural. It kinda feels like I'm missed an article of clothing or something. 1d
  •   meagan_kom Exactly!!! Same here! Lol did the short hair thing and I swore I wouldn't go back haha @lizziet117 9h

lizziet117 Officially in love with #corset wearing. I officially know now that everyone who said "oh, those are so uncomfortable", "oh, you'll hate them", and such are completely wrong, that was one of the most comfortable and supportive farmers I have ever worn!
Only downside is that, due to my long torso, I'd need a Victorian or Edwardian style corset because Renaissance corsets are SUPPOSED to sit high on my hips... :/ oh well, just wish there was a corset shop in Allen or Plano where I could get a costume fit.

lizziet117 Went out this weekend in search of some slip-on shoes for summer/school/possible-work that were dressier than flip-flops and got these new babies!
Funny enough they're both #dexflexcomfort shoes. Audrina on the left and phiona on the right, and of course both are ridiculously comfortable, I didn't even want to take the #sandals off for the photo! And they make my feet look small ;)

lizziet117 One of the reasons I love #halfpricebooks (aside from the fact that they are the World Market of book stores in that you can find some random books and amusements there) is the fact that I can go into clearance and get a book that took anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple of years to write and publish and loads of effort to put out into the world for a measly $1; It's truly wonderful. Mother and I are kinda warped by it though, we'll go in the regular priced areas and see a book we're intrigued by but put it back because "$5 is too much for a book"! Wish everything could be on clearance, but we all know that wouldn't work, would it?! 2w

lizziet117 M'kay, so over in the B-wing the bathrooms are reversed and as I'm sitting here scrolling the Gram and eating my lunch I keep seeing men walk into the bathroom out of the corner of my eye, for the first 15 minutes I kept thinking all the guys were going in the girls restroom!! 2w
