kmaecags People always ask me what I'm "on", and my answer always remains the same: I'm on a lot of carbs, I'm on a high performance diet, and I'm on a solid strength & conditioning training program. I'm not on PEDs, I'm not on ANY supplements, I'm not on any "low carb" or "low fat" nonsense deprivation diet. People are constantly making the assumption of steroid use or think that supplements are necessary to make progress. Nope. I just eat the right food at the right times and I train a lot harder and smarter than most people. My body fat is higher than I would like it to be by about 2-3%, but in order to lower it I would have to eat less, which would mean my athletic performance would suffer greatly. I personally prefer performance over aesthetics. It's ok to prefer aesthetics. To each their own. (This is how we separate athletes from the models) 20h

I have seven on my roof that I am the first owner of. My Westside Barbell Power Bar (this one) being my favorite. The way to my heart is with barbells and food. 5d

kmaecags I helped @krista0311 dial her nutrition/macros in and this is the permanent progress she has made over the past few months, more impressively the last few weeks. No crash dieting. No starvation. Eats what she wants in moderation. Did it happen overnight? No. But she was NEVER hungry. She was NEVER miserable. And she NEVER will be afraid of food or gaining weight again. She made this a new lifestyle and the changes in her body are here to stay. Drastic weight fluctuation is extremely unhealthy. It's worth it to take is slow for the sake of your health and sanity. I'm going to school you on nutrition and mobility then the @criticalathlete boys are going to school you on weightlifting. Everyone will receive copies of my books, a detailed macro breakdown, a training program, and you will leave with ample knowledge to apply to yourself in order to reach your goals. This will be an all day event, so plan accordingly. kmaecags 8am(ish): @CaveManCoffeeCo w/ coconut oil (high fat first thing in the AM)
9-10am(ish): eggs/bacon/avocado OR a scoop of protein in coconut milk w/ chia seeds (25g protein, high fat, minimal carbs). To be honest, its usually the 2nd option because I don't always make the time to cook a meal & then sit down to eat it.
noonish: pre-workout or two (fat+carbs AKA fuel) & a scoop of super greens + a scoop of hemp powder.
I need 90mins for my food to digest & absorb before I train
2 pm-ish: TRAIN MY ASS OFF for 2 hours
5mins after training: 25g protein (I will only use @GoGnarly Whey Protein) w/ 75g of fast digesting carbs, I use @vitargo. ZERO FAT.
5pm: chicken or canned tuna (leaner protein, still avoiding fat during the post workout period) with 50g of complex carbs like rice/potatoes & a vegetable not cooked in any fat (25-30g protein, high carb, minimal fat)
8-9pm(ish): steak or salmon (fattier protein) & veggies cooked in bacon (30-40g of protein, high fat, minimal carb)
11pm: things like nuts, popcorn, dark chocolate to fill up the rest of my macros. If I am short on protein (which is rare) I will have a shake. If I want ice cream one night, I don't neglect my bodies cravings & I have ice cream. I don't believe in restricting/depriving myself. I believe in life & living it however the fuck I want to. I advise that you do the same.

Most days I don't end up training till 8pm because I am answering your emails, writing my next book, & handling an NFL teams's nutrition all day. In which case my eating/training schedule gets all sorts of fucked. It happens to me too, not just you guys. I prioritize all of you over my own training & nutrition. I am human just like you, so don't beat yourselves up if you mess a day up. Back on the damn horse & do better tomorrow. Plan the day ahead the best you can and you are doing yourself a solid.
I hope this helps some of you. Realistically plan out your meal frequency (some of you can eat 3 times a day, some of you 7... its a personal preference based on your lifestyle). Divide your protein into those meals. Eat your carbs around your workout. Eat fat not around your workout.

kmaecags Another shot from filming with @codyapp all weekend. I am so happy that I have created a program for novice weightlifters that advances over the course of 13-20 weeks (depending on your experience and level). Even if you aren't new, sometimes is good to reset and start back at the beginning to focus on basic form and rebuild a stronger foundation. I picked and pulled from all my favorites like Starting Strength and the Westside Barbell conjugate method as Rippetoe and Simmons are my role models and I firmly believe in their methods. I developed a unique strength program that ends with skill transfer to Olympic lifting. It's important to be a well rounded athlete and this program is going to start from square one, get you strong, then get you platform ready. If you're looking to get off the machines/cables and get under the barbell, this is for you. THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY TO GET STRONG IS TO ADD A BARBELL LOAD TO BASIC HUMAN MOVEMENT PATTERNS. kmaecags People keep asking me how I'm feeling/looking after eating upward 30 doughnuts in a 2.5 day timespan here in Portland. Well....
I hit a 251# front squat. On accident. Because I don't even kilogram and didn't realize that much was on the bar. I blame the doughnuts.
I didn't have abs before I got here. I still don't have abs. I still don't want abs. Abs are not a measure of fitness nor strength. When I had an 8 pack I also couldn't back squat my body weight (which was under 130# at the time). I like to look strong. I don't care about looking lean.
I'm not mad that I look like this after being a gluttonous fuck all weekend. This is proof that if you flexible diet and are not overly restrictive, your body can handle some doughnuts and them some. Flexible dieting has shot my metabolism through the roof and I no longer experience much food bloat.
To be completely honest, my tummy kinda hurts and I won't be eating like this for a while again. Internal health is important. A plethora of doughnuts isn't healthy, I'm well aware.
And that's all I have to say about the weekend doughnut #gainz.
