eloisek I'm starting there in January did you buy all of the Gorgeous products??
katedevlin I didn't and in my personal opinion I wouldn't recommend to buy them a lot of the girls who did regretted it, you are better off putting your own kit together of all the products you love from different brands. Same with the brush roll, I bought MAC and Rae Morris brushes. Have fun it's an amazing experience xx @eloisek2d
eloisek Ok good that's what I was planning to do! I got told that if you don't have their stuff you can't do some work experience, did you have that problem? I don't want to buy their brush roll either! When you put your own together did you have to have like matching brushes to what's in the Gorgeous roll? Thanks for the info! I'm so excited :) x
katedevlin@eloisek yeah you can see what brushes are in that roll and then decide what you will need, you will discover brushes you need a long the way and realize you need multiple of the same brush sometimes especially on shoots! That's true about work experience, you can get by with just a brush roll and disposables, cleansers etc to begin with as the academy can and will supply makeup for some work experience but so will the makeup artist you are working with. It is good get a small kit of basics together such as foundation, powder, concealer, brown and black eye pencil, mascara. You will learn all of this through the course but like you I had no idea what to expect when I started so I had a lot of questions too. The work experience won't start until at least half way through the course x
eloisek Thank you so much for your info. Very helpful!! I can't wait :)
