journeyofnow Today we celebrate our Declaration of Independence. To me it’s celebrating, with clear awareness our values that we’ve agreed to mutually support. In fact the ability to experience life, liberty/freedom and happiness are so important, we mutually promise to have each others back, pledging our lives, resources and own personal sense of honor. That’s phenomenal.

All of that said, What does your version of freedom look like? Are you using your freedom to be free or have you handed it over, being a slave to a person, place or thing that’s sucking the happiness out of you, like a dementor in Harry Potter?

There are a lot of people who are running around, asking themselves what the purpose of their life is. What if the actual purpose of your life was to, in your own creative, beautiful way, make manifest, “Life, Liberty and Happiness.” The Declaration of Independence is an invitation. It’s the invitation to consistently offer the freedom to each other to be who we feel as though we really are inside, and to passionately support each others happiness, in that endeavor, to the best of our ability. We could be happier in our head and heart that way. ~Life, Freedom and Happiness

journeyofnow Actions in life can be reduced to two actions. Positioning and timing. If we are not in the right place at the right time. We cannot possible take advantage on what life has to offer. 1w

journeyofnow Breathing in, I calm body and mind. Breathing out, I smile. Dwelling in the present moment I know this is the only moment.

I live breath this quote, I've ready many of his books and this view is just perfect.

journeyofnow I suspect, on some level, all of us who consider ourselves “outdoors-people” — whether we fish or hunt or birdwatch or gather mushrooms or hike or photograph — are romantics at the core.

We experience something transcendent in those environs, something we idealize in our hearts and minds, something that illumines a spark of the divinity within us.

When we are in love, the other person makes us feel whole, the downside is a growing addictiveness to this individual and the horror of the possibility of losing them. The ego has a need for wholeness yet romantic relationships are not the right place to look for those things. They give us a sense of self that is dependent upon something or someone outside of us.

We all carry a body of pain inside us which appears to be healed when we are in love, but the pain is still there and emerges again when the honeymoon is over. The purpose of real long-term relationships is not not make us happy or fulfilled they are to bring out the pain that us within us so it can be transmuted.. they are to make us more conscious, if we can accept this it will move us to a whole new level... the relationship will flower naturally free of our unreal "expectations." If your current relationship seems like an insane drama. Instead of trying to escape from it go into it more deeply and accept the facts as they are. I know this is very paradoxical, but close relationships have never been so hard in today's time but could be an opportunity for great personal growth.

journeyofnow I came home to find this nice package waiting for me. Thank you @instagram for the gift. What a lovely selection of photos and the stories that have made this community great. I appreciate the many people that have had conversations with here and got to know over the many years. I'm also thankful to have met some of you in person. A lot has changed over the years, but one thing has always remained is the community and connections that I have made here. #communityfirst 2w

I love being in peaceful environments, love watching life unfold, specially in the morning. The natural flow is a mirror that your chaotic mind wants to ultimately attain. Being outside in the right space, or with music, even the right company helps get you there.

By quietly watching your subtle feelings while you are writing, creating, you will get to see what environment is best for you. Have you paid attention to the type of conversations that you have in chaotic, loud environment? Have you tried to create in a messy home, or trashy desk, there is a difference.
Even the conversations that you have tend to be different.
What is your ideal environment?

When a torrential storms hits, the land and the ocean is sent into turmoil. Sand is whipped up into the air, visibility is reduced, debris is washed up on the shore, and fish hunker down. Just as soon as the storm has released its energy, the ocean becomes calm, the sun peaks over the horizon, and animals go back to there daily business. After short period of time there is no tell tale sign of the storm, it is a natural cycle the transitory nature of life.
When we look out our inner storms, it is helpful to see things in the same way. In a way you are the earth containing everything, the storms and emotions are nothing more than temporary forms that will eventually fade away. They are normal and will remain normal as long you don't give it undue meaning. ~ journeyofnow

journeyofnow Somehow nature has a way of finding balance. she has done so for millions of years. Right now we have kicked her out of whack, but she will find a way to find balance again, let's hope we are still around to see this inevitable outcome. 3w

journeyofnow Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love my two boys. If I'm having a rough day, I walk through the door and I just automatically smile. They bring me so much joy. Sometimes I just stare at them for no reason and I'm just filled with so much happiness. I just can't believe that these are my seeds. I couldn't ask for anything more on Father's Day. To all the dads and single moms that are playing both roles, I hope you have a great day. 4w
