jessicaparr Adele is officially a man. A rooster man. Knew it from the beginning: thick legs, got big fast, acted like the head honcho and not sweet or calm like Buff Orps are supposed to be. You just can't fully know until you hear their little baby crows. Such a bummer. He needs a new name... 3d
jessicaparr @wendythornell it's almost impossible to tell when they are babies. The only real way is to squeeze their vents out to check, which is extremely difficult and dangerous without professional skills. 3d
jessicaparr @wendythornell it's one of those jobs you never really hear about, but it's a dirty job. there are YouTube vids showing chick sexers going through thousands of chicks a day, throwing the females in one bucket, and the males down chutes to a grinder. Males are obviously useless in the egg production industry. 3d

jessicaparr @_innagram_ haha the instructor of the class who owns the hives. yeah he just went into it with bare hands not worried at all! he did get stung once and then said the bees were acting more defensive than normal. 1mon
_innagram_ My parents just started to keep bees. My dad already has about 4-5 hives! He'll handle them without his suit and gloves sometimes and get stung a few times. Child birth? Sure. Bee sting? No thank you. 1mon
