handmadelove Looking for the perfect wedding shoes... Wedges definitely won't go with my dress. Need heels. Problem is, I don't wear heels! No clue how to walk in them. And an super fearful of sinking into the grass... How!?!? Ps: pretty shoes from @loefflerrandall #dawnanddarren2014 4d
  •   ameliapink I got married in Melissa heels and practiced walking in them for ages beforehand! They're pretty comfy as heels go! 4d
  •   handmadelove Thanks ladies ;) I need the height sadly. if I had it my way, I'd wear gold saltwater sandals! But that will mean the hem of my dress will be brown by the end of the day ... 4d
  •   mrswads Heel guards! http://www.ourlittleshoesecret.com.au Used them at our wedding which was in an orchard and worked perfectly xx 4d
  •   maikedesignstudio I wore some fancy heals for the ceremony (I didn't have a long dress so wanted something a bit nicer looking ... and I needed the height too!) and then switched into some really cute flats for the rest of the day/evening so I was comfortable. Worked a treat 4d
  •   greenlaundry I didn't wear heels till this year too so I kinda know how you're feeling towards them. Someone mention a thicker heel and I second that. Even better if you can find one with a thicker heel plus platform in the front. I have a Melissa pair and it is SO comfy. Some pointers that might be helpful too: go out in your heels at least once before your wedding. Wear it for a few hours at least. It helps with the confidence when you put them on again for your wedding day. Don't buy heels online or without trying. Sometimes a short heel makes me look more stumpy than flats, it's weird, so definitely try try try. Also best if you can bring your wedding dress along to try with the heels you are eyeing. I did that and no regrets! 4d
  •   oldschoolnewschool Oh Tigerlady Shoes !! :) 4d
  •   bellstreet try @goldenponieshoes , I wore the biba Mary Jane heels for our wedding and traipsed all over the place in them! nice thick heel so no sinking into grass or dirt. and totally enclosed so really comfy and easy to walk in, I feel like the more strappy and open a pair of heels is, the harder they are to walk in! 4d
  •   kirstenllee I second the heel guards option! I had to walk down an uneven hill at my wedding ceremony and they worked a treat for me and my bridesmaids. 4d

handmadelove The best sight after a crazy migraine. Neighbourhood cat-watch strikes again. This kitty was so terrified of jumping off, it practically dragged it's belly across my fence. It got stuck in between the laundry line too. Very funny. 6d

handmadelove Thanks for all the tips yesterday...Meet our new fiddle leaf fig! Bought from the friendly dude at South Melbourne market. Last 2 left! Get in quick! 1w
  •   kesterblack How much did you pay?? 1w
  •   lanipauli @monkylicious Oh they're so fiddely. Ask @mathewhepple. He's been the green thumb behind ours getting 1 new leaf in about 6 months. Stunning when they get to that stage though! 1w
  •   my4cookies Gosh Dawn let me know how you go. Soooo tricky to look after. I've been soo close to buying one many times but always chicken out as I'm scared. 1w
  •   shopeverythingbegins $99 that's great Dawn, I have been on the hunt myself. Rare and over $200! If anybody in Sydney has the hot tip on where to snare a good one I'm all ears! X 1w
  •   madeleine_stamer Good score @handmadelove his plants are good. I buy a lot of my indoor plants through him. Next time you're at @lantern_printing pull off some monstera from out the back. Your eyes will pop out when you see the size of it! I slice off the leaves and place them in water, they last for months. x 1w
  •   handmadelove Ooooh that will be ace @madeleine_stamer @lantern_printing !! Thank you 1w
  •   madeleine_stamer Defo snip some. Minimal water with your ficus, like seriously a tiny amount once a month even. Mine got black marks on the leaves like it was burnt then most of the leaves fell off. It looked dead (seriously like a stick) but I placed it outside and it has bounced back with full vengeance. Remarkable! x 1w
