  •   grlandherdog @qwertyier willing one to drop and make his dreams come true. He loves strawberries, cherries, peaches and mangoes. He's also ripped several peas off the vines. 14h

grlandherdog The "don't go to work" face 1d
  •   julienash85 I get this look 2x every morning. Some mornings they win! 1d
  •   blinkyblogs Awww, mine says, "You're putting on shoes, nooooo!" 1d
  •   grlandherdog @julienash85 @blinkyblogs it starts with the "take me! Take me!" dance and frantic running around the feet. Then it settles into sad eyes and small paw reaching. Then flat down ears and gazing. The problem is I work from home sometimes which I'm sure he interprets as having been successful. Lol. @blinkyblogs Shakes used to lie on top of the shoes. 1d

grlandherdog Pastry Lines and Saltwaters 4d
  •   gksagenda I've always loved that fabric. What is the pattern you used? 4d
  •   grlandherdog @gksagenda it's the Staple Dress. Last summer I decided It had been in the stays too long and I wanted something easy so I wouldn't have to deal with matching the stripes and it worked out perfectly. I'm still not 100% convinced that it's the best dress on me but it's so comfortable and easy to wear that I will probably make another one. 4d
  •   gksagenda Nice! I like it on you! 4d
  •   stitchparade How do you like the fit on that pattern @grlandherdog ? Lovely fabric. 4d
  •   devonholzwarth So cute! Love your salties. 4d

grlandherdog Cosmos explosion! I planted 14 seedlings and they have just exploded. Finding baby cosmos sprouting up in the spaces between the big ones. Happy place :) Also, I love gravel beds. #gardenclub #gardenchronicles #cosmosflowers @mylusciousbackyard - mini garden report. 5d
  •   4eliz Okay I am converted- must have cosmos in garden next year! 5d
  •   4eliz Aghhhh look at those leaves! 5d
  •   grlandherdog @4eliz oh do! They are amazing and very easy to grow from seed. Or just buy them from the garden centre. Their leaves are so delicate but they're a tough plant baking in the sun. 5d
  •   dolalee The spread like crazy!! Love them so much! 5d
  •   stitchparade Are they perennials? Lovely! 5d
  •   mylusciousbackyard Gorgeous! So glad they're doing well for you! If they have a bit of room to spread - a foot or two - pinch them when they're about a foot tall and they'll branch like crazy. 5d
  •   anaiatookit for me? :D 4d
  •   grlandherdog @anaiatookit they are annuals, but yes, next year for you :) I love them too, and have cut them to bring inside every week since they started blooming. 4d

grlandherdog Sigh. That moment when I realize that in a moment of haste I bought the wrong size (too small) pattern while in the US. DUH! Once I calm down I think, no worries I'll get it at Fabricland, only to find out that Fabricland no longer carries Simplicity patterns. Argh!!! I was looking forward to making a couple of these skirts this week. #legrandsigh 1w
  •   zoriannaz sorry to hear about this! Fabric land, come on... Lame 1w
  •   rubyfox28 I'll buy your size & trade ya 1w
  •   grlandherdog @zoriannaz they said the prices went up so they decided not to carry the brand anymore. But online it's only $10ish... Don't get it. 1w
  •   grlandherdog @rubyfox28 oh thank you! I already offered it to my cousin though :( sorry! Any chance you're still in the market for a sewing table? 1w
  •   stitchparade You should measure the flat pattern for finished measurements. The big 4 usually have a ton of ease so you may be able to get away with it. 1w
  •   grlandherdog @stitchparade :) funny, I was just looking at that. I just might be able to get away with the top that way but I'll have to figure out the skirt pleats. Sigh. Too much going on with work and I just wanted a straight forward project. 1w
  •   rubyfox28 The seeing table is on hold indefinitely for now. I need it for when I move which is up in the air right now. If you have other interest please go ahead & sell it 1w
  •   grlandherdog @rubyfox28 no other interest, so I'm holding on to it for now. When/if you move let me know :) 1w

grlandherdog Older. Not wiser. Why do animals persist in sitting/lying where the rolling chair wheels can pinch their paws, tails or this case, crush their throats and squish their heads? 1w

grlandherdog Last one from Shakes' day of treats. Birthday dinner: 3 steamed garden fresh peas, 3 meaty lamb chunks, slices of boiled potato with kelp powder and salmon oil. And a new bandana made with fabric I'd been saving for no real reason. 1w
  •   grlandherdog Pretty similar to his daily food, but we grilled his lamb and he never gets potato. Here's to many more years with our happy and healthy little buddy! 1w
  •   crownflora So cute 1w
  •   julienash85 So cute, and such a lucky boy! 1w
  •   grlandherdog @julienash85 both our pooches are pretty lucky! Maybe one day we'll make a trip to Ottawa! Do Louie and Lily eat fish? Shakes just started with kelp powder - it's really good for him, this one has other herbs and dried stuff in it too. 1w
  •   julienash85 Yes! They need to have a play date! @ourlittlepress and I are originally from the GTA, so we are back often visiting family, pooches in tow. They could eat fish but they are both on a vet prescribed hypoallergenic kibble to try and clear up Louie's ear problem. I'm sure Lilly would love it though, she eats anything! 1w
  •   grlandherdog @julienash85 heh, I dunno if Shakes would play. He's not a dog's dog and prefers a wide berth. We tried a vet prescribed kibble back in the day - oh the poops! and it didn't help. I hope it works for Louie- is it allergies or chronic ear infections? I want to mail them a little treat but it might gross you out - tiny dried fish. 1w
  •   julienash85 Ha Louie is not much of a player either, he likes to sniff and have a pee-off, but that's pretty much it. Lilly is very timid with new dogs at first but warms up quickly. She will also sniff but that's pretty much it. The kibble is ok but SO expensive and frankly not really helping with the ear. It has been a chronic problem ever since we adopted Louie and the vet likes to experiment but nothing has worked despite many different meds and approaches. We basically keep in cleaned out so he is comfortable and give him the special diet in the hopes it helps calm things down. Poor Lilly has to eat the hypo food too, just so Louie doesn't get cross-contamination. But she would love treats! She gets little peanut butter treats when Louie isn't looking, lol 1w
  •   grlandherdog Your vet would probably never agree but... Is there a knowledgable raw food supplier near you? I switched him to raw and did an elimination type diet when he was young - itchy inflamed ears and horrible itchy paws - took a while to get it right but we eventually did. Back then there wasn't any pre-made raw so I made it all. Another angle would be to avoid "hot" foods - in the way that the Chinese medicine system identifies food that can cause inflammation (not temperature hot). Also - Shakes would be up for a pee-off, we call them pee-wars lol. 1w
