edny321 I'M S O F A N C Y
We came back from Aruba with NO souvenirs for anyone... EXCEPT my babygirl, Lola! #MrsEddieG found some Poochie sunglasses for her. Now she's in the fast lane.

edny321 I was surprised I did not capture more lovely sunset pics here in Aruba. This one was merely nice compared to the last day. There was a bit of haze going on at sunset, obscuring the light show most days. On my last night , though, I came back from the ATV tour, covered in dust and sand, and while everybody dispersed to eating and shopping, I headed straight for the beach. On my way I noticed my dad sitting on his balcony, he saw me, we waved to each other and with mere hand gestures, agreed to go swim at the beach. As I waited for him in the water, I felt an old, nearly all but forgotten sense of excitement I had not felt in decades. Like a child asking his father to come to the water, the child I had been, the father who obliged. I reveled that I was about to enjoy something that would all too soon be but a memory again. All the battles and wounds we ever inflicted on each other were washed away.
The shouting matches, quieted. The frustration, resentment and disappointments, all drowned by the calm serenity of sea and sky and water.
The sun slowly lowered itself into the sea as we watched quietly.
It was the most wonderful sunset I have ever witnessed.
And I didn't need my camera.

edny321 In front of that old Dutch building, lies a field full of these rock piles. The guide gave a funny speech how each pile, a wish before placing the top rock, and a $20 bill would go a long way to help many wishes reach fulfillment. Then he told of another phenomenon where people go and take countless pics of these piles. Both acts, I gather, are due to a philosophy of #monkeyseemonkeydo -ism.
Next up the lock bridge of Oranjestad.

edny321 Sorry for some of these created geotags, that's what happens when I take pics out of the country at locations without wifi! This section is still up, but the adjacent section about 50 feet away collapsed recently from natural beach erosion. 3d
