colcalli@jess0703 It was great! Less gruesome than one. We did a little research in advance to tell Lila when to cover her eyes and it wasn't even that bad. Enjoyed it very much. Books though, are of course better!
colcalli90 carbs of burrito goodness. Caleb's #wdd dinner choice at Chipotle. IC ratio of 1:35. 2.55u of insulin. That's only part of the math needed every day. #diabetes3w
craybas4 My poor kid is 1:7 ratio .... We had chipotle on Monday
colcalli@craybas4 I don't think the amount of insulin someone needs is a measure of anything. You just need what you need. In fact the more insulin Caleb needs I find the easier it is to manage. High sensitivity has been a PITA in my experience.
colcalli@craybas4 are you kidding? He was diagnosed only four years ago? I did no realize that. But he is a growing boy! I have no point of reference, but normal meal for him must be like quadruple what we eat, right? His eating habits will probably change too. I understand it must feel like there is a correlation to the amount of insulin he needs and that things are getting "worse". But I truly believe this is no the case. They are all dependent in insulin. I don't think they can get more dependent. Their needs just change.
