cinephile I adore this photo of my dad with 3 of his 4 brothers and their mum (he's the one directly to Jo's right wearing black). 1d

cinephile This has been a long week: the passing of my grandma, getting in a car crash, discovering I have an allergic reaction to clams the hard way, now having some sort of laryngitis, and this morning I locked both my home & car keys in my apartment. But Game of Thrones is on tonight which makes me feel way better (it also might be the tons of Benadryl and tea I just chugged😛)! 3d

cinephile Going through more scrapbooks. We found this fantastic photo of my grandmother and usually stern looking granddaddy at Laguna! He's having an especially hard time, every time he breaks down my heart splits in two. 5d

cinephile I really love summery spots cloaked in fog. Jo spent a lot of her summers here with my dad and his brothers. The colours here are fantastic! 6d

cinephile I’m lucky enough to have several very strong women in my family. Josephine, “Jo”, was one of them. She was a dancer for almost her entire life, and a military wife who raised 5 boys. Her home was always an open door for her nine grandchildren, and even though I didn't get to make it out to the west coast as much as I would have liked, she always made me feel right at home. Alzheimer’s made it difficult for her the past few years, but she lived a long life and was surrounded by so many of us that loved her when she passed yesterday. And we’re so lucky she was such a ham, there are tons of photos of her! I’m the kind of person who honors a person’s passing by celebrating their life, so I’ll probably be posting quite a few of them on here. She will be dearly, dearly missed. 6d

cinephile I've been told my grandma and I look very similar, but I didn't realize how true it was until I saw this photo of her as a little girl! We look like we could be twins 1w
