benwhitehair "Raise children: Wherever you find them." This is one of the greatest things I've ever heard my Dad say. This is my vision for the world. A world where all children are taken care of and supported no matter their situation, skin color, background, or sexual orientation. A world where they have access to health care, education, a clean place to live, and people who love them. 17h

benwhitehair If you didn't already know, Ryan Basham and I are teaching a 1-day class here in LA on May 24th. It's for any creative professional who wants to take their life and career to the next level. We'll also be sharing specific tools, strategies, etc. on social media, goal setting, strategic planning, etc. etc.
I had a lot of conversations about who am I to charge people money for what I know, concerns knowing that creatives and entrepreneurs are constantly asked to invest in their careers, concerns about being "successful enough" to proffer advice to others.
Ultimately, though, I realized that I have spent THOUSANDS of hours in the business of being an actor with tremendous results, have started several successful companies, and applying what I've learned has my life operating in a way I am supremely proud of. If I can support others in skipping any of the mistakes I've made, or get a leap in knowledge without investing all the time I have in things like social media, time management, or productivity tools, then I will be extremely happy.
For the next couple days it's less than $100 which is really is an insane deal. I'd love to see you there. All the details at www.CreativeLifeWork.com

benwhitehair I used to think that I would take that extra step, commit to something for my career, or ask that person out AFTER I had the success. After I had more money, after I had more stability, after I had another credit on my resume.
Then I realized that it works the other way around. As soon as I commit--put my money down, book the plane ticket, get my butt on the line--at that very moment the Universe then aligns to support my commitment. It takes me actually making a commitment into the unknown, and then the Universe knows in ready and makes it happen.
Commit. Take that leap. Live your dreams. I promise it's possible.

benwhitehair Just before 4am on Wednesday March 26th, Nancy Gayle Coleman, my mother, released her physical body and began her next journey.
Her four children were by her bedside in her final hours. Earlier in the day when she saw the four of us together for the first time in nearly a decade, she exclaimed "this is awesome!" Those are the last words I heard her say.
As many of you know, I had a diverse and sometimes tumultuous relationship with my mother, including a 6-year span where we didn't speak to each other. In this moment I am grateful that when I went through MITT a little over 2 years ago (the transformational leadership program I've told many of you about), I was able to forgive and find the courage to reach out to my mother and begin the healing process as best we could. I am fortunate that it didn't take a tragedy to make that connection again, and the healing process we began culminated in my brother and two sisters finally being in the same room again.
I believe my mom experienced a significant amount of fear and anger in her life, but I will be forever grateful that I watched her experience peace and serenity near the end. I am also eternally grateful for the foundation of love, respect, and gratitude my mom provided me. The core of who I am absolutely started with her. She taught me to love, to pursue my passions, and instilled a zest for life, a love of learning, and a passion that burns inside me every day.
I invite you to let the people you love know how much you care. Don't wait until tomorrow. ====
Her funeral will be here in Kiowa, CO at 1pm on Saturday. Contact me directly if you would like to attend.
We will also be creating a fund to support my 15-year-old sister Faleena as well as Nikki who will be her guardian moving forward.
Thank you to everyone for all of the love and support you've given me in the last few weeks. I feel truly loved.
