annernelle_33 On April Fools most people think about pranking one another... But my April Fools will always be a day of thankfulness. When you get a call from your dad on April Fools day telling you that he had had a major heart attack...and you continue to argue telling him "I know it's April Fools, quit messing around". You start to despise the "holiday". I can't believe that a year ago today my dad had a major heart attack resulting in a triple bypass surgery. This past year has been an absolute roller coaster, but it has made our family stronger. I have have learned that it is important to cherish the people around you and to make the most of every day. Life is so very precious and I am thankful that God decided to keep my dad around, because I wouldn't know what I would do with out him making me laugh everyday. I challenge you to love everyone, you never know when they can be taken away from you. I am so proud of my dad and the things he has overcome. DANG, my dad is one strong man. Who knew that a year later my dad at the age of 51 would continue to try and keep up with his kids on the basketball court after having a major heart surgery. My dad is the true definition of resilience. 3w

annernelle_33 Found this picture and I think that it describes Caoch Shep perfectly. I have made so many great memories with him in class, on the court, or even just passing each other in the hallway. I will never forget the smart aleck comments that he would make to me and my classmates. Coach Shep was always a "thumbs up" kind of man. Always staying positive, no matter what the situation. I will truly miss this man and all of his athletic advice. He tried to get me to go out for track every year, would spend his personal time in the gym working with me on my free-throw shot, and not to mention every time I went back to serve he would say something to get me to laugh or smile. Everything Shep did, he did with his whole heart...from coaching, teaching, mowing Sedgwick during the summer, and getting into his line judging job during volleyball season. This man will forever be remembered by many, he has taught generations of families and effected everyone with his laugh and positive attitude. I can say that coach has had a huge impact on my life. I am blessed to have known Coach Steven Shepherd. Keep those thumbs up, while you watch down on all of your family, friends, and students. #RIP 2mon
