angelahogg Summit of Ben Lomond, 3000 feet. Ran a bit (really a couple miles) on the way down to make sure we got a lift from the water bus. Luckily the Scots are kind and the folks waited a few for us as we huffed it. Now for a wee pint and some World Cup! 3w
  •   esquechammy <3 Scotland <3 ... And you guys should check out Berwick Upon Tweed on your return to England. 3w
  •   angelahogg @esquechammy, we may have to add it to our next trip. We'll be on the other side of England and a bit more south. Love to hear of your travels there. Bonnie Scotland! I'd love to stay as I'm feeling right at home. 3w
  •   esquechammy I want to live there. You can breath easier in Scotland! 3w
  •   esquechammy And of course I come from a line of McGarvey's (Irish) and Campbell's (Scottish) so I probably belong over there. 3w
  •   angelahogg You do belong on this side. Graham's father was from Scotland and his mom is from England. He feels a pulled in several directions. 3w
  •   esquechammy I bet! Sassenach and Scot! 3w

angelahogg Lupine opening for the bumblebee to pollinate. Yesterday morning I sat in the garden as they gentle buzzed around the yard. These bumblebees are orange with a little white stripe. Gorgeous day here in Edinburgh. 4w
  •   terrace_rose So cool. Did you ever think of becoming a botanist, Angela? 4w
  •   angelahogg @terrace_rose (Emily), I love nature so much. I studied geology for a bit and completed a master gardener class. People kept interesting me so I pursued Psychology and Social Work. Perhaps after the MSW program I'll study botany. My partner studied biology and we have great fun exploring the earth and all that grows. 3w
  •   terrace_rose Sounds like a good plan. 1w

angelahogg We climbed to the top of Arthur's seat, 875 feet of an extinct volcano towering over the city. Picnic on top while listening to languages from all over the world. We all had the same idea, lunch at the top. Unusually sunny day, we actually got a bit burned. 4w

angelahogg After listening to Maya Angelou's interview Diane Rehm Show (rebroadcast, 2013) about Maya's book "Mom & Me & Mom," I couldn't help but think of my own mother and grandmothers. Stories, prayers, love, heart break, forgiveness and give for (as Maya says), and deep blessings. Grateful for my mother's love. 1mon
