sophiashahaha You like Russian Literature?! We should start a book club.
andrew_carson@sophiashahaha I've always been intrigued with the period of the great wars but only recently felt ready to comprehend it from the perspective of Russia and the revolution and rise of communism and the Soviet Union. A bit overwhelmed by the thought of Tolstoy still so I feel that the Romanovs was a good place to begin.
sophiashahaha I completely agree with you. Tolstoy is a bit over my head. I recently got interested in it too!
andrew_carson Also if this book isn't beat to hell by the time you finish it, start over.
lyndamgonzalez Hmm, think you've ended my quest for my next book to read! This one's been sitting on my to-read shelf for some time.
andrew_carson It was one I read on and off for right around 3 years. I always do that though. The biggest thing that help me relate so much and find so much humor in is his relationship/guardianship over his younger brother being an older brother myself. I've had people tell me they were a bit disappointed after reading but I loved it and to each his own. @lyndamgonzalez3w
lyndamgonzalez I might just end up relating as well for similar reasons, we'll see!
